I don’t care who plays QB next week

The only thing that should matter is to not get anyone hurt, and get some experience for 2nd half of season. I don’t care which mix of QBs that involves.

We get a bye week before a winnable game with Arkansas. That’s the game to target Bailey getting ready for.
My goodness how far we’ve fallen.

There is only one winnable game the rest of the season. We will not be favored in the rest.
UT is likely a two win team if JG continues to start... and may not be any better without him. The decision that created these jobs occurred in January 2019. Pruitt fell in love with JG then and cannot see his mistake.

IMHO, the only way this gets better is if Fulmer puts his foot down as he supposedly did last year.

This is EXACTLY what some said under Dooley and Butch.

Pruitt is headed down the same path...

I'm not sure we want to throw Bailey to the wolves against Bama. Situations like that can ruin a kid.
This is absolutely incorrect. Bailey is a football player. He's a competitor. He wants to compete. If his confidence gets "ruined" because of 1 loss in his first start then he shouldn't be playing football. Guarantee he's dying to get the start

After thinking about it... I'm starting to "care". JG isn't it. HB isn't it "yet". Shrout keeps making the same kinds of mistakes. Maurer needs to get his shot. He needs the starter's reps AND the patience JG has gotten.

Play all the QBs in the Alabama game. Give them all some experience. Maybe one of them will rise to the top.

Well for Pruitt that would mean Mauer, Shrout, and Bailey will get a single drive unless they orchestrate a dominating drive. Then as soon as they don’t get a TD they will put in JG and let him throw 5 pick 6s and fumble 5 times and not even think about pulling him.

Arkansas is not a winnable game, not with what we saw today.

It does not matter who plays QB for Tennessee against Ala****. Peyton Manning in his prime could miraculously appear and play the whole game for Tennessee and UT is getting beat like a government mule.

Mauer has been rumored of late to be transferring. We have a mess.
