im most excited about his return this year. he is a mad dog on the field. so glad to almost have him back and ready. with him and austin playing middle, we should feel pretty decent at that position this year.

I just hope that he can get close to being 100% after that injury. I work in medicine and from my experience people don't really fully recover from torn ligaments in a year, if ever. I do wish him the best, though.

Yea he is a good one. I cant wait. We need a leader on the D. He will keep the D intact. What a great story he has... Go Vols

Well I have to disagree with you VolFan, I have had an ACL surgery and I was back playing basketball 8 months later...They have top notch trainining people who are specialized in helping Athletes recover from these type of injuries....ACL is tough but most people recover just fine....There is always some hesitancy left over after the injury that is true but I think he will be fine!

Sounds like he will have some serious competition with Austin Johnson stepping up pretty big so far at MLB.

Trotter Monte said Reviez if he can get healthy this year will be an All American...with the way this guy works on and off the field I would say that he could be right if Nick can stay healthy....

He is one of the smartest LB on the team, he and Johnson will feed off each other this Spring and Summer and will push each other to get better!

Reviez is really important to the Moral of this unit...He is loud and gets them focused, he is a true LEADER on that UNIT...

Reviez, L. THompson, A. Johnson, Savion Frazier, Greg King, Herman Lathers, NMT, Possibly in some situations J. Smith...Plus you bring in Askew,Frost,Crump,S.Reviez

That is a whole lot of competition for this unit...

Even with a top notch training staff and a killer work ethic, ACL tears are difficult to recover from. I hope he's on the field at 100%, but I doubt it'll happen.

Look at Shawn Merriman this year. You know he's getting the best treatment available, and he's a workout warrior. But his flexibility and strength clearly weren't what they were before his injury.

I was under the impression Wilcox was playing Johnson at SAM not MIKE, though.

Also, does anyone know the status on Frazier's recovery? He played pretty well last year. Having him back to play inside or outside would be great.

I know Nick personally and am good friends with him and he is doing great. His knee has healed up well and is feeling great when he works. They are still making him be careful right now and not go 100%, but he will be ready for the season. I will assure you of that. No doubt that Nick will be starting at MLB and Austin will be his backup.

has all of the expectations of A Johnson come from the one scrimmage or has he been lighting it up in practice also?

Talked to him today he's definately ready to get back at it full contact. He's done some tackling work, but i think he's finally getting back into full team drills today. Talked to him about AJ at MLB and he feels strongly that the linebacker core could be the strength of the defense this year. Such a class act he's just ready to bust some more heads this season.
