I can't support Butch anymore

We may actually be looking at 5-7 or 4-8 this year. What is going to happen we play a team with a decent QB that is not Bowling Green?

Ou's Baker Mayfield is setting records for the Sooners and has a TD/INT ratio of 10/2. That's beyond decent.

What's frustrating about this team is that they have the talent to beat other talented teams but they don't. If the other team was just plain better, I could live with that

You obviously dont get it. We've lost plenty under Butch that we shoulda won. Honeymoon's over. Butch won the Presser; nothing else. JUST DROP FOOTBALL ALL TOGETHER HELL. I have a life and business to worry about. Cant be stressed all week over this crapola anymore. Tennessee fans deserve the best coach in the Country. Do we have that? HUH? Answer that .

If you let a game you didn't even play in stress you out all week I'd say you're the one who doesn't get it.

In every game, so far, this year and last, the opposing team has made the adjustment. With us, its pretty easy. Pack the in of scrimmage, because when we get a lead, we certainly aren't going to try and score anymore through the air.

Take away Dobbs' 58 yeard scamper tonight, and a nice snag by Wolfe, and what receptions do you remember? Any? We don't throw. Florida knows it. They send blitzes. We get stopped.

I'm not going to talk about how we give up so many big plays on D...

This is the most embarrassing football i have seen in the 44yrs i have been on this earth.

TENNESSE HAS BECOME A JOKE. Butch "no stones" Jones CONSISTENTLY finds ways to LOSE.

This is for you Butch and your best staff in America

This one is on Jones and Jancek. 27 points should be enough, offense was excellent. Horrifying clock management and rushing 3 on the last TD pass. 5 /5 4th down conversions is inexcusable, 3 of then for 8 yards or more.
If you think our offense was excellent would you like some ocean front property in east Tennessee?

Butch is nothing but a fraud. He uses his little slogans and team #119 BS. Anybody that still backs this clown are probably the same ones that backed Dooley until the end.

You are making my argument for me. For the past 10 years Tennessee has never made a play when the absolutely have to. So either the number of stars don't matter and it's all fate. Or, you have to coach them up so that when they need to make the play they do.

And you just made MINE for ME! These players WERE coached up! They played great football tonight! Unless you've played the game, you cannot comprehend what a team with their backs to the wall are capable of doing. We did not make plays. The coaching wasn't perfect, but it did NOT lose that football game for us. We still were within 6 inches of winning the football game at the end. Then what would the argument have been? Coaching sucked? Or a kicker made a play when his team needed him to? I'll go with the latter. Its not coaching.

I sure thought we looked good when we were passing the ball. We just don't give it enough looks.

I agree and even when it was covered or broke down Dobbs created yards. We have playmakers but nobody seems to make the call to allow them to make plays.

The scary part is that Hart wanted Strong over Jones.

Even if they theoretically fired Jones, which I don't expect to happen any time soon, I have zero confidence the brain trust could bring in anyone better.

I think the best thing is to ride Jones' recruiting and hope they can start lucking into some big wins.

Bad Coaching = Not going for 2 was an awful decision. Not stopping one 4th down play all game. Not using plays with a Heisman watchlist QB to throw the ball to multiple 5 star receivers. The worst 3 and out playcalling in the 4th allowing florida a game winning drive. AGAIN NOT STOPPING ONE 4TH DOWN, ESPECIALLY A 4TH AND 14. Using a timeout to allow Florida to plan. Substitution flag backing up a 50yder to 55yd FG attempt. This was awful.

I'll have what you are having. Did you watch the offensive possessions in the second half?

I did. I'm impressed with UT's maturing players.

But I'm not impressed with the lack of maturation in the head coaching category. MULTIPLE game winning errors again today. Players deserve better.

The question is...Will CBJ own his coaching mistakes on behalf of the players? Or, will he act like it was not his responsibility? A true leader will own the loss, not deflect it. If he deflects it, the team will begin to unravel within. Those "young players" deserve a leader.

"That freshman QB outpassed our Junior QB. He wasn't a Freshman in the 4th Quarter. You don't bring the house on 4th and 14 and leave your DB's exposed. Sorry."

No, you just give them all the time in the world huh? Cause that's what happened. That worked out great didn't it?

"My friend, its SOOoooo easy for all of US to sit back and criticize coaching from our loungers and keyboards. Watch the last play again. Our players were in position to make that stop and didn't do it. The Florida kid made a heckuva play. I'm sorry, I'm not buying the coaching argument this time. Some decisions? Maybe. But if Aaron Medley makes that 55-yarder, you aren't here arguing with me tonight."

If Medley makes a 55 yarder? No! You have the ball with the lead. You get a first down and end the thing!

When you lose a football game, you want someone to blame. Had Medley hit that kick, your passion about poor coaching wouldn't be there...would it? Take a breath. We're going to be ok. We have an opportunity to take the next baby step toward relevance again. But it may not be this season.

He's got no gut. It's all analytics, spread sheets, flow charts, and numbers.

He talks about wanting the guys to play with passion but not emotion. Is there a living being on this earth that is more emotional than a 17-22 year old boy? (except for maybe a 17-22 year old girl).

He talks about creating your own momentum but not being emotional. Momentum is based on emotion you moron! Momentum in a game is completely emotional and psychologically based. You've got to learn to manage the emotion and momentum of a game in the midst of the crisis!

He needs to get his candy a!! up there on Monday and apologize to the fans, but more so the players for once again snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. And, somewhere along the way, someone should re-introduce him to these kids named Malone, Pearson, Howard, Williams, and Smith. I think he may have dropped his WR sheet in all his game planning.

Omg....I don't know what I am doing!
never has a statement been more true. Jones can recruit but can't coach with a damn. Plus, I believe we may be the Chicago Cubs of NCAA football. What a shame. It's hard being a Vols fan, the cup is getting tighter by each important game. Maybe Butch is our Ed Orgeron. Bring in the players then get a coach who can actually catch football.
