I agree Jancek was tasked to make one more stop.... and had 5 chances to put this in the win column... he failed in strategy and execution.

Debord failed in strategy and execution.

Butch is the commander in charge and watched this thing go down hill.

I just don't see how they can continue like this... something should change. The passing game with Dobbs is hurting this team. For all the great things he does with his legs, he neutralizes that in spades when he throws the ball. Shows poor coaching and no real commitment to the passing game by Butch.

Guys it wasn't the conservative O that lost this game..... It was the D not being able to make ONE stop at crunch time.

Let's not forget we called a timeout when they were about to kick a field goal. They came back and went for it, got it, and scored a touchdown.

Carry the fight to our opponent and keep it there for 60 minutes.

The reason DeBoard and, by affiliation, Butch are losers is they will not play to win for the full 60 minutes. DeBoard must be fired or eventually Butch will be. If we followed the simple Maxims we would be undefeated. I'm no coach but General Neyland sure as hell was.

The offense is ridiculous. If not for a couple of cutsie MAC plays we are not even in this game. Regardless, Lyle sucks. DeBord - as most sane individuals knew, is horrendous.

With all the talent we have on offense, to run the crap we run is an absolute embarrassment.

I wasn't ready to give up on Butch, but the way he managed to lose another game with the lead in the 4th quarter, is pathetic! I'm to the point where I don't see Butch winning here. I can't wait to hear his used car salesmen coach talk. He just got his butt kicked by a first year coach with a very average team with a 2nd string QB. If Butch couldn't win this game tonight with far better talent,'he will never get it done. I like the fire and energy he brought to the program, but you can only sale the farm a few times. I've lost all faith in Butch leading us back to the top.

3:00 minutes to go and you need one first down. Everyone in the universe knows we will run three times and that we will not try. Get the ball with 1:26 and 5 wide let it fly and we move the ball. Ha ha ha we stink staff pathetic and we will suffer in this vortex if mediocrity untill we fire shamwow jones!

No. This is just...no. I'm as mad as anyone that we have a coach who apparently doesn't know math. But you can't fire him after year 3. You would just be setting this program back further. It's ok to be mad. I'm mad AF right now. But I don't want our program to become a bigger laughing stock than it is currently.

I think people go overboard with this but.... That last 3rd down call where Dobbs tiptoed and then laid down was about the weakest play call I've ever seen in my life.

Agree. How many touches did North, Pearson, Jennings and Preston Williams have? We have an OC that doesn't know how to call plays. Way too much talent wasted on the filed.

im in disbelief. i thought he was the guy. fire him? its a bit soon. but he better win out the remainder of the year.

id have preferred us to get donkey stomped than see us make stupid ****ing mistakes. thats what sucks. and thats on him. his teams have done it twice now. Ok and Fla

you might want to add that TN gave up 5 out of 5 4th down plays that would have sealed the game. It was al because of a lack of drive to send the house on a blitz in obvious passing situations.

You obviously dont get it. We've lost plenty under Butch that we shoulda won. Honeymoon's over. Butch won the Presser; nothing else. JUST DROP FOOTBALL ALL TOGETHER HELL. I have a life and business to worry about. Cant be stressed all week over this crapola anymore. Tennessee fans deserve the best coach in the Country. Do we have that? HUH? Answer that .

It wasn't coaching that allowed a 4th and 14 to go 70 yards. It wasn't coaching that missed a 55-yard field goal by a few inches. Coaches don't make plays; players do. When we needed to throw the football, we threw it. The bottom line is that we cannot fire our head football coach every time we lose a game we should have won. Period. We've already had 4 coaches in 6 freaking years!

Again and again it seems like we rely too much on the defense to finish a win. Especially late 4th quarter. I really feel like CBJ doesn't even trust his offense all the time.
It's like he wants TN to be a consistent underdog.
