I got more frustrated watching this game than I have in a long time. UGA is so overrated, we beat ourselves and by the refs. Matthew Stafford and Noshow Moron-o are so overrated its not even funny.

Stafford throws a 8 yard slant and they brag about his great arm strength and say stupid stuff like " not many qb's out there can make that throw" lamo, yea right. Stafford is average at best, David Green was worlds better than him and where is he now?

Moreno is a good back but he is certianly no Herschell Walker, not even close. They would be just as effective with King playing TB, Moreno is not a team player with his look at me attitude. When Eric Berry knocked that stupid grin off his face he just walked away, he didnt dance and pose for the camera. You can have Noshow, all I know is that we played terrible, the refs were obviously in UGA's favor and you were at home and still only won 26-14. If he was so tough I doubt he would have took himself out of the game when Berry owned him and let everyone know Eric got the best of him.

I was a student at UT for the '75 (7-5 w/losses to UCLA, Bama, N. Texas St, Ole Miss and Vandy); '76 (6-5 losses to Duke, Auburn, Bama, Florida and KY); '77 (4-7 wins over Boston College, Oregon State, Memphis State and Vandy); and the '78 (5-5-1 losses to UCLA, Auburn, Bama, Miss State and Notre Dame, tie vs Oregon St.) seasons.

Yes, boys, it can get a LOT worse.

Yass, but it's still been a while since four consecutive seasons of suckage. I still recall the '79 season when we were happy to go to the Bluebonnet Bowl and get whipped by Purdue. It was Tennessee's first bowl trip in five years.

I thought the 2002 ans 2003 seasons sucked pretty bad as well, though we weren't quite this inept.

But in both of those years we routinely got blown out and lost badly in two consecutive...uh...Peach Bowls to 2 mediocre ACC teams. One was like a 31-3 drubbing by the ever-dominant Maryland program.

The other Peach Bowl loss to an ACC school was to Clemson. Of course, there was also the legendary '82 Peach Bowl loss to the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Hell, that was no accident, and it was no fluke either. Spurrier was the head coach of that Duke team. That was a harbinger of future beatings to come.

1988 was bad. I think this is going to be worse though. That team won its last four or five ballgames. This one may lose its last four or five.

I know many have a high standard for the program and use the burst of the mid-late 90s as the example of what the program has always been. But as I posted in another forum a while ago we have only won 5 outright SEC championships since 1952. We do have 3 others (two due to FL probations and one three way tie). We have 10 .500 or worse seasons in that span (looks like we may get #11).

I was a student those four years also. The seats still all were filled for every game. I guess because there were 25,000 or so less seats.

I'd just like to point out that when we have a thread discussing how this season shapes up against the worst seasons in memory...

...that's a sign of where we're at right now, for those of you out there who think we can "salvage" the '08 season.

Worse than 05. 05 would destroy this team. Worse than 88. This team can't pull it together late. Hardly remember 77.
