I cant imagine what a real Pick and screen offense

Amazing what coaching can do. Our centers are trying to do it though. It must have been taught a little in practice but they never get the pass on the roll. Why do UT basketball teams always seem to be low basketball IQ players?

Not sure what a pick and screen offense would look like...probably a bit of a cluster.

Uh yeah.

Seriously though, wasn't it striking how sloppy we look offensively when playing a team that picks, cuts and spaces as crisply as Mercer was last night?

I can't imagine what a give and go, give and go offense would look like. In your opinion what would be better that, or the pick and screen?

What was striking is that we were no better defending it 40 minutes later.

Absolutely...don't know if it was more their offense or our lack of defense but the number of good looks they got compared to ours was troubling.

It was the same blueprint Mercer has used all year. It's just what they do. I was shocked though that we weren't getting more deflections or able to exploit our quickness advantage at the 3/4. There's no way they should have been able to clog the lane like that. Stokes not being a threat to shoot a 10 footer or dribble drive causes us real problems
