Good post and after watching the Vols play so far this year, it looks like the coaches read Volnation also. Some of the play calling has changed & player personnel being inserted into games has also been observed from coaches trying to go along with the fan base.

Here is a thought, maybe the LOSING is what turns recruits and their families off. I would think most recruits/parents with any common sense knows UT is in a bad spot right now. We have a losing HC and if they decide to come to Tennessee, it better be because they like Tennessee and NOT just the coach. If I were a recruit and decided to check out the media/message boards for UT and saw nothing but sunshines and rainbows being discussed I would question if the fanbase was puffing the pipe or not. Here is a really crazy thought. What if a recruit saw fans talking about a coaching change at Tennessee and it actually made him consider the Vols? Some kids like the idea of winning. Some kids like going to bowl games. Some kids want a chance to play in the NFL someday and not just be hyped up as a HS recruit and then never be coached up to his potential. Recruits pick UT for alot of different reasons. They would be wise to not count on DD being there for the next 4 years. JMO

Noone can answer that. Most recruits are not going to come out and say Dooley is why they did not pick Tennessee. One that DID say something to the media was Jason Hatcher(USC commit). He favored the Vols at one point, but said he could not pick UT after the loss to UK.

Hatcher needs to man up and come change things around for the better if he's all that. It want be the same this year with Kentucky or Vandy. We are getting better, but players like him should stick that chest out and say we ain't losing to them ever again as long as I play there at UT.
