The band not making the trip is inexcusable. The team needed to hear Rocky Top to be inspired and lift them up in times of need. I blame the band, I blame the band.

Well you should go on and blame the AD, then. They were the ones unwilling to pick up the tab.

Blame the Athletic Department for not paying to fly them to Fayetteville. They shouldn't have to drive 11+ hours.

Every pep band member I've heard talk has discussed how the athletic department pulled the plug on the funding for the Arky trip. Unless they were given faulty info from the directors, my money's on that.

Now I'm not saying the AD didn't budget money for the trip. They did. The pep band was going until about a week and a half before the Arky game. I'm saying the AD pulled the plug on the trip.

Gotcha, thanks crusse.

If I had to guess, the AD decided it was pointless to fly 40ish people to Arkansas for about 2 days, pay for bus transportation to Tyson-McGee, pay for bus transportation for 2 days in Arkansas, pay for lodging, and pay per diem in order to have them never play.
