I blame it on our offense.

Our defense shouldn't be on the field this much. No wonder we are getting hurt all the time.

It can't be the players, right?

I feel like Debord likes to "set up" plays. But if your "set up" play fails, then where do you go then?

I'm sorry to say this, but I think it's time to find an Offensive Guru coach.

Put it in the lap of Dobbs. His terrible inconsistency throwing the ball has led to short drives and missed opportunities to score. If he had just hit the open receivers he's missed, UT would be up by at least 23 points.

Am not disputing this, but he has also hit 2 receivers right in the hands for an Inc and an Int.

Dobbs is not a great passer also when he gets it to the receivers besides Malone it's iffy.

I agree, but Dobb being an inaccurate thrower isn't a new thing. We need to be more creative. Reverses, motion, different formation, QB draws, etc.

If we are going to run and call passing plays, put in a an accurate passer.

They put up about 20 yards of offense in the second quarter against the 80th ranked defense in the country.

Dobbs has completely regressed as a passer since DeBord took over.

The O line still can't contain pressure even when a team like Ohio only rushes 3.

Hurd and Kamara pretty much make their own yards at this point.

It's absolutely on the offense. This is a complete mess.

Both of those balls had too much heat on them. Receivers still could/should have caught them but Dobbs is so insecure of himself throwing the ball that he is throwing rockets even when people are wide open (and most of the time still missing them by a mile).

Whatever coach is calling those out-passes should be benched. Next man up, for coaches just like the players.

Maybe true for the Williams drop, but not the Ethan one down the middle; he just thought run, before he made the catch.

Fire Mike DeBord right now, not tomorrow, not at the end of the season, right now. I swear to god, he WILL NOT throw the ball beyond the sticks on 3rd and long. We do that god awful swing pass to the flat or an obvious screen EVERY TIME. Someone should tell him that the forward pass is allowed in football. I lay the blame squarely at his feet, his play calling is garbage and I have full confidence that his limp wristed offense will lose us plenty of games this season.

Dobbs will be in the shotgun on 3rd &1 even after having the break between quarters to draw up an appropriate play. Bank on it.
