I could see Miss ST. I hold CPF in high regard and wish him all the best. If I were him Id take the money and relax. Let's face it in all reality CPF is not a program builder. He inherited the early to mid 90's from Majors. Not bashing but it was said several years ago on ESPN that they didnt think Fulmer would have had the success he has in another place. I say enjoy retirement or do something that allows himself to spend more time with his family. He has definately earned it.

I think Central Florida is a great fit. It may not be high profile as Clemson or other BCS schools but I think FCPF could recruit well and bring UCF up and equal to South Fla. George O'leary seat is getting hotter by the week because of the player's death, media attention, wrongful death lawsuit. I believe O'Leary may make it to next year but that will be this last and it will give FCPF a year to recharge his batteries.

That's funny stuff.
ESPN was still running (on the bottom line) that Fulmer was interested in Clemson as they were saying dude got the job and after...

Nice 401k plan.........$6,000,000.00 guaranteed. Didn't take a hit with the market.....nice, I'd take year off on the interest alone...then when I still have an extra $100,000 left over. I'm retired! I'm there!

I think he could go to Washington if he wanted to, but I don't think he'd be up for moving the family across country, and away from his grandchildren.

Fulmer will end up in his den, eating nachos and watching college football on Saturday like the rest of us! I don't think Lloyd Carr got any serious post-Michigan offers--and his career very much mirrored Fulmer's. If Fulmer gets an offer, it would be to either build a program at a school with no tradition but ambitions, or to rebuild at a place like Syracuse. I like and respect Fulmer, but I don't think he has the energy or the smarts or the management skills to succeed again. I suppose with a good staff it's possible, but programs like miss. state and syracuse needs comers, not aging vets like Fulmer. And why go to a bad program and tarnish your legacy with more losing. He doesn't need it and hence will become Nacho Philo, armchair pundit.
