Clemson and takes Chavis with him. He expressed interest in the job I read on msn.

Why the hell would you hire them if you were Clemson? I think the interim coach is doing a pretty good and will probably keep the job.

I think that heeither ends up at Mississippi State or Auburn. I think Auburn will throw the kitchen sink at Muschamp and if he turns it down, they will look at Fulmer. If Fulmer ended up at either of these schools and surrounded himself with good coordinators, he would be a force to be reckoned with. I think he might have lerned his lesson with coordinators after Clawson. Can you imagine all of the talent he could pull in coaching in Alabama or Mississippi with his recruiting talents? Think about it, both schools live on strong defenses with conservative offenses. Fulmer fits the description perfectly.

He had already dropped off in his recruiting abilities. He is not a youngen anymore. Auburn financially must keep Tubs and will. So there is only Miss St left. Wyoming and Clemson are filled. Miss. St. will likely go for someone younger. The rule is ten years in a major program and you are burnt out as a head coach. Fulmer was burnt out about 5-7 years ago. He would do best to take a year or two off. He might actually be a better coach if he does that and then comes back. He can no longer see the forest from the trees.

Chavis will have numerous jo opportunities, but why would any decent program hire Fulmer?

I don't think he is nearly as highly thought of as his backers make him out to be - aside from character and things like that. I also think his "remarkable success at TN" has been inflated and based on a 4-5 year period in the 90s. He has only finished in the top ten 1 time this decade. So again, what top program would want him?

I guess that is why he had the # 3 class two years ago per rivals and was on his way to a top 10 class this year. He's done this in a state not very full of great high school players. In Mississippi or Alabama, he would pull a top 5 class every year.

If Tubberville's buyout is give or take 1 million of what Fulmers was, Auburn will have a new coach next year. I talked with a die hard Auburn fan and alumni this morning and he said Tubby was gone and they will offer Muschamp the world. Not that a fan knows what is going to happen but it is well known that the money men behind Auburn's football program aren't Tubby's biggest fans. With the way his team folded this year after so many different coordinators, Auburn nation is ready for a change. It's not farfetched to think that Fulmer could be coaching there next year. Unless there is some reason that I'm not aware of, I think Fulmer will be looked at if Tubberville is released.
