What Banks did is Reprehensible. Not your ordinary got caught with weed deal or failure to attend class. HE THREATENED THE LAW. Get outta here with that BS.
You mean to tell me a 19 year old from the hood in Memphis "threatened the law"!!!!!!! I've never heard of anything so shocking!!!!! You should really get out of your basement sometime.

He shouldn’t have been kicked off the team in the first place.
And It’s not like any of those donut eating mouth breathers that threatened to ban the Vols have ever stepped foot in a classroom on campus or have the income to make any noticible blimp to UT’s bottom line in any area other than weiner sales.
You just posted one of the stupidest things I've ever seen on this forum, including the politics forum. Congrats.

Understandable, blimps are pretty expensive......

2019 regular season: Total games each Tennessee player appeared in

I hadn’t considered this, but according to the article, Banks only played in four games this year. Obviously, his dismissal occurred quite rapidly after another incident occurred, but I also find it too convenient that it did so right at the four games played mark.

In the interim, Banks has clearly been working to rebuild his reputation and has maintained contact with Volnation through social media.

I believe he’s coming back next year. And hopefully he will have learned his lesson and make the most of his opportunity.
Jeremy Banks shouldn’t get another chance with Tennessee, “where I come from we shoot police”! Really?? All the police officers era getting attacked on an everyday basis across this country and “he” says that after getting arrested for something “he” did. That’s ridiculous. Not to mention “he” threatened the police intern, “I’m sure I’ll see you around campus”. Not to mention his other incident threatening to slap the **** out of a female. Banks thought he was above the law because he’s a division 1 football player at Tennessee. I believe in second chances, but not for what Banks did. He had his chance at UT. That’s a valuable scholarship that some kid out there with a better heart and head than Banks deserves.

What exactly has he done? All I saw was a save face picture and a couple of social media posts where he references God like he's some born again Christian. Talk is cheap, people act like social media apologies warrant as doing something these days. Did he take an anger management class, or perhaps volunteer for some type of community service (he does want to be Tennessee Volunteer after all), go visit kids in the hospital? Anything like that?
None of us are on the “need to know” list for details of Pruitt’s redemption plan for Banks, so stop acting like you know what he has or hasn’t done in that regard.

A 19 year old not well traveled or experienced in the ways of the world ran his mouth about the police and that has been elevated into a "reprehensible" unforgiveable crime??? Some of you Johnny Law types do more harm for your cause than you do good. Change employment for God's sakes, you have no business being a sworn officer and dealing with the public if you carry that sort of hostility with you every day IMO.

It honestly doesn’t matter what any of you think. The only people that know the entire situation are the ones that will ultimately determine if he is reinstated to the program. All that I personally know is what I saw in watching the videos. The news outlets only care about clicks so I am sure that they made sure to include the portions of the video that fit their narrative. There could be significantly more to the story. In my opinion he will return to the team after the bowl game. I think what you see in the video is a scared young man reacting to a poor situation trying not to show fear the same way that he would in Orange Mound on the streets. The highlight of the video in my perspective is when he is in trouble he asks for them to call CJP. Pruitt is trying to build more than a football program. He is a leader of men and everyone was not raised the same way. If Coach decides to bring him back it will be mutually beneficial for both the UT Football team as well as Banks.

So, witnesses said Bryce Thompson said he would shoot up the school but he was a freshman all American so he can come back. He has a history of threatening women but we're glad to get him back. Banks does no worse and maybe not as bad and his offence is unforgivable. Seems schizophrenic.

This was not why he was ultimately kicked off the team.
