While I agree with you in principal but the office of the President has the privilege to do this. That's where it starts and ends for me. Don't like it then the other person should have won.

Think about what would happen if the Trump administration had its way and outlawed sanctuary cities. But the gay mayor of San Francisco gives Trump the middle finger. Disobeys a direct federal court order. Is found guilty of criminal contempt. But then a Dem came into office and pardons him with a slap on the back for ignoring the law and an order from a federal judge.

I don't know. Just seems like this makes the law very unstable to me. And basically encourages violators for political reasons to run out the clock until they get someone in there that is friendlier to their cause.

Uhhhh...even if it had increased during Obama's watch, this would still be an irrelevant point because it increased under his predecessors, but the numbers fell by almost 40% under Obama's watch, so....

Let me ask you this though, and try to be objective. Given what we have seen from the election and since Trumps win, do you really believe if Hillary would have won and decided to pardon him, that much would be being said? Do you think LG would be all up in arms if Obama would have done it? Come on huff. You know the answer. Its because its Trump.

LG isn't really "up in arms". He made two reasonable posts and yes he probably ignores it if Hillary pardons...but that's beside the point. The point is this isn't unique to Trump.

People here were butthurt about Obama's pardons. This is biz as usual
