Sure we lost fumbles, and when most teams would have just checked out, this team played their hearts out and left everything on the field. With all of the injuries and with the young players having to step up, it would be easy to make excuses and just go through the motions, but they didn’t. That is character.

Character empowers individuals to keep the faith and persevere against the odds. When I think about the positive influences these young men will make when they leave UT and face the adversities of life, because after all, life is much more important than a game, all I can say is Go Butch and GBO!

This team plays with a lot of heart and I'm proud of how they've represented us.

Hopefully we had enough turnovers yesterday to last us the rest of the season.

Your football team represented your state and university well, very impressed with how they responded to adversity time and time again. Good luck the rest of the way Volunteers, beat Bama.

I am proud of this team for fighting back. A&M knew they were in a ballgame. That being said, most of the turnovers - if no all - were done by our experienced players. To me, that says that the team was playing tight. The make up of the team changed with all the injuries and the next man up did pretty well. If all our players were available, it's a different ballgame.

There's a lot of criticism (and a lot of it deserved) on Butch, but if ANY fan out there can't see that he's building something special in Knoxville, you're blind.
We've had more injuries than I ever can remember on this team...and with top players that we all said were the backbone of the team.

The team thinks they are going to win regardless...and that keeps them going. Just 3 short years ago, we would have folded in the 3rd quarter with the way things have gone during the first part of our games this year.

The play of the underclassmen stepping up has me excited about the future. It's going to be a great time to be a Vol over the next several years.
