I see some positives in that it does not seem that Urban Meyer is the recruiter that Zook was.....I want to see what kind of players Meyer is able to bring in......I don't see Tebow being ready to be the full time QB next year.....GA is a question mark at QB because Stafford did not play well this year but was a freshman......LSU is losing Russell and we probably should have beat them anyways.....Auburn loses Kenny Irons and still has a young team.....Bama is a couple of years away and lost their starting QB......Arkansas is going to be tough but I think we have one of the better returning teams next year. If we can shore up some of our defensive woes I think we have a chance to compete for a NC next year

Well right now he has the #3 class on Scouts, he recruits in the most talent-laden state in the country, the other two major programs in the state are down substantially, he's already made one qb go #1 in the draft so he has a track record of nfl development...and then add the nc.

I dont think he is going to have any problems getting talent.

I remember the 01 season vividly, as i was in the Army at the time, and the UF game was pushed back because of 9/11....watched the 2nd half of the Georgia game with my roomate (a Dalton GA Boy, Bulldog from Hell), at Chili's, after 16 hours of guard duty. I have never been taunted so much in my life, probably as a result of my taunting after Travis's (at the time everyone thought) game winning run....Then the same guy sitting in my barracks room going nuts when we put the Gators down...then the loss to LSU, which screwed it all up...i honestly think we had a shot to win the big trophy that year..especially seeing how bad we did Michigan in the citrus bowl

I just tried to look that up.. the only thing I could find is that saban is allowing someone else to compete for the starting qb job.

thanks.. i thought i had heard that, but that still doesn't mean they lost him....
