I am infuriated about my game day experience

Don't try to play it off now. It's obvious that you're personally offended by what has been said in this forum. Besides, isn't school in session right now?

Dang! You've really got me pegged! It's like you KNOW me from my, what, 6 posts... Seriously, mr. um mafia, I was joking with you. BUT you are correct in saying that I am personally offended by some of what has been said. And judging from your invovlement in this thread, you are somewhat of a bully and a know-it-all. Don't you have a puppy to kick or something? (that was a JOKE, in case you didn't recognize it)

You called me a bully.

I also had an issue with the head usher in sect. II at the oregon game. I purchased tickets off ebay and the tickets was reprinted and held for me at the ticket office on gameday. When we got to our seats, they was occuppied by someone else with the same tickets. The head usher never even spoke to the people in our seats. Instead he told us he had never seen a ticket that said REPRINT and refused to talk to someone in will call where they had all the information including a copy of the drivers license from whom i purchased the tickets. All he insisted on doing was throwing us out of the stadium. After arguing for a while with no help, we was escorted from the stadium. The following monday the UT ticket office took all my information including the head ushers name to find out what happened. They informed me the usher did several things that was against policy.

I hope you received a refund from whoever sold you the tickets. I hope.

The police officer spit on you? Don't think I am buying any of this story.

Don't think you have to buy any of the story. She was about an inch and a half from my face telling me that if I didn't shut my mouth I was going to jail. In the process of her rant, she spit on me several times. I did not say that she intentionally spit on me, merely that she did.

SHE? OK...... :eek:k:

Is a female police officer a radical concept? Think I am missing something.

Man I am SO SORRY for what happened to you guys on Sat. The bottom line is.. y'all were treated unfairly and with disrespect and the University AND KPD should be held accountable for their lack of professionalism.

You should have told her, "Go make me a pie!" Generally women really like it when they are told what to do and will respect you more for it in the long run.

I hope you're a woman. Please don't be an old guy that just dresses like a woman.

I've never been to a game at Neyland. I have wanted to since I was little but things just haven't worked in my favor to allow me to make it yet. I was planning to head out to a game this year as soon as my hours at work started to decline a bit but, to hear stories like this makes me so sick. I know I would have been incarcerated over that one, no questions asked because I probably would have thrown my drink in that couple's faces. Maybe I should relegate myself to not attending a game in person, at least not at Neyland then. Dear Lord, I've managed thirty-two years and no convictions so, I'd prefer to not have my first occur while I am watching the team I love and spend every day supporting and following as avidly as anyone on these and other Boards/Sites.

I get such a feeling of pride when I watch UT on TV, seeing and hearing the enthusiasm and passion of our fans in the stands. It makes me feel connected to the stadium without actually being there. It is one of the reasons I love this team so much!

I feel like there are some bad decisions being made these days by the UT powers that be. First of all, no one should speak to paying fans in this manner, not ever. It is disrespectful and totally unprofessional at Taco Bell, much less at Neyland where you spend a small fortune to be there. Obviously, these ushers need to go back to working in post-game stadium trash collection or maybe stadium seat gum removal duty would suit their characters a bit more nicely. Ushers should be kicking people out that want to moan and complain about others showing their support for our team, IMO. Asking people to sit instead of support the team as loudly and obnoxiously as possible, WTF?!?!? If those people want to sit, splurge for a seat in the box suites or one of those other overly priced new seating areas for the rich and quiet then! Otherwise, you can stand up to see and open your mouths once in a while or GTFO and go jump on the Alabubba band wagon then, seems like everyone else is these days!!! (Nearly threw up in my mouth when I was watching CSI New York the other day and the new redneck woman they have on there started some tripe about when she throws a penny in a wishing well she always wishes for Alacrappa to win a NC! What!? Why ruin CSI like that? Sorry, I digress.) I'd rather these fans cheer for another team, just make that team's home games easier for us to win.

I am sorry this happened to you guys, obviously, you have tons of support from all of us message board cowboys though, if that makes you feel any better at all?

lol. sad thing was, I was being really respectful about the whole thing. I didn't raise my voice, use profanity, resort to sarcasm, etc. ( I did make one smart comment to one of the ushers, but that was at the end of the whole situation. ) I told them at one point that I would be happy to sit down, so long as they would tell me when it was ok for me to stand and cheer, that way I was operating within their "rules"... was told that if I said one more word I was leaving the stadium with an escort.

I hate to say it but NEYLAND IS OVERATED there are a lot of losers like these in the stands!!!! It is a sporting event not a fnnnn Broadway show!!!! This DRIVES ME NUTS THEY JUST LOOK AT YOU LIKE VANDY FANS DO, LIKE YOU ARE A STUPID REDNECK!!!!!!

I agree totally with you and this is why I quit going to the games. That place is not what it used to be fan wise. No matter what team, how bad of season, how bad of a team we have that stadium should always be deafening!!!
