This is a post from me a person and a human not a Bama fan.

For all you who wanted to move on with another coach, I am happy for you and I wish you all better days. UT and BAMA will once again be the game of games that no one in the country would dare to miss. Congrats again.

For all you who wanted Phil to stay. I watched the press conference and my heart broke for Coach Fulmer. He is going out very classy and he deserves honor for his great work at UT. While many Bama fans may hold a grudge against him, as a man and as a Christian I hold no grudge and I wish the Fulmer family all the best.

To all of you as a whole. Who knows what the future holds and who will be the best fit for coach at UT. What you can be excited about is a new era of UT football. Coach Fulmer has done a lot for Tennessee and now someone else will pick up the reigns.

I am truly happy for you all and your program and I am ready for some more battles on the gridiron between the best rivalry in all of college football.

I must say, Rev, that you are very thoughtful. I would add a second to your comments from Fla. These Vols aren't as accustomed to coaching changes as everybody else.

which should be a selling point to the folks at the top of our list. we are loyal, and our track record over the past 30+ years says that we don't make knee jerk reactions....

Have to agree with that...some of these players were barely alive when Fulmer started coaching.

Why do you think this is such a difficult day??? And don't forget we are losing one of our family members...:cray:

Roll Tide, I know UT and Bama have been rivals for a while, but it seems pretty clear that the incidents involving Phil have added fuel to the fire. What are the Bammers saying now? Do they still hate us as much?

For me it wasn't Phil. It was losing 7 in a row. I never really hated UT, just got tired of losing to them all of the time.

Tennessee and Bama fans will always have a sense of hate, but that is what makes a great rivalry. Alabama fans are having hay day out of this, but I am sure it is no different than some Vol fans had during Bama's times of turmoil.

I personally have never felt more sorry for any man in my life when I saw the press conference and heard what Coach Fulmer had to say. I am a Bama fan, but I am also a college football/ SEC football junkie. Fulmer was the dean of SEC coaches with one of the best records in the nation. It said alot about the SEC having Fulmer as a coach in the conference. I hate to see that times have come to this, but it seems to be the nature of the beast.

Even though there should be more to life than your favorite football team, passion for college football goes unmatched in the SEC. Southern born and raised I understand and embrace this passion. I know, Vol fans, what it feels like. Knowing the disappointment is causes and the joy it brings, I can do nothing but wish you guys the best through tough times. I hope you can right the ship, except for the 3rd Saturday in October, of course. I look for Tennessee to win out now and hopefully give the "Big Man" the exit he deserves.

Please go back to your Bammer forums and discuss how much you love being #1 in the country and how Saban will come down from heaven to take his believers to the promised land.

:good!:

Perhaps reading the post would have been nice

I can't believe my UT brethren are coming to the defense of a Bammer over one of their own.

It truly is a sad day.

It's hard to defend stupidity. This guy is a class act and posts meaningful comments. The same can't be said for alot of the other outsiders who come on this board and the same can't be said for some of our posters.
