Are we a final four team or have we lost that swager? I know it is early but you can tell if we have it or not. Hat straight up "Do we or will we have it"?

at this moment.. no.. but i think they will pick up as they go.. too many turnovers... a bit lethargic on defense.. but they have the potential and hope they peak at the right time :good!:

I think we still trying to find our "niche" as a team, but I think at the end of the year in tournament time, we will be a much better team like Florida was.

I was really disappointed after the Texas Game... The Season is Young and we get Prince in Jan. We have two tough games in Dec plus they are on the Road...Then I learn that Texas beat UCLA tonight by 2 tonight at Pauley Pavilion...So I am still believing that Pearl will bring them together as a team....and the best is yet to come

We most definitely aren't the team that finished last season so strong...yet. It's really tough with so many great talented players that all deserve the minutes to find a rhythm. I love being that deep that we can keep fresh legs on the floor but I feel like it really hurts the players in regarding to developing a rhythm and flow during the game.

I really and truly hope to be proven wrong but I really don't think we should be using any sort of "once we get JP Prince" statement. I went to high school with JP and watched he and Dane Bradshaw play together and I'm not quite sure if people really understand what he offers. He is great size wise and has that advantageous wingspan but he has also (historically speaking) been a pretty selfish player. He couldn't get along with Lute Olsen at Arizona and I'm sure Bruce has been shaping him but he's still the same person even if he's not the same player. He will be good for maybe providing a spark on occasion because of his athleticism but I can't see him starting or really being much of a threat. Again, I hope I'm proven wrong.

Only thing I can tell you is Texas defeated #1 UCLA last night at UCLA.

We got rolled early in the season last year in New York and came together in the season. Tyler Smith is finding his game here. Give them some time to see what they can do. The Zags and Xavier should be a tough test before SEC play. Final four or bust is a bit harsh to place on any team.

Interesting, Texas could be a better team without Durant and Tennessee could be a worse team without Dane...what irony.

I think these guys will be fine to answer your question.

What I don't understand about Prince is if against UL Lafayette, Pearl doesn't play Tatum or Williams to keep it to a 9 man rotation, then what is he going to do with Prince?

I say Prince is going to get his shot and if he doesn't produce, thanks for the steak dinner but you are on the bench.

Fine, I don't think this team or this program is Final Four material yet. Elite eight possibly, but look at the top 8 teams right now...UNC, UCLA, Memphis, Kansas, Texas, Duke, Georgetown...then Washington State, don't know about them yet...These programs are playing basketball at a very high level and for more than just 2 seasons....

Regardless, it will be an entertaining season with our guys giving it all because if they don't, they will get replaced.
