...not in any way with our team this year, or even on this night. They played hard. They made some mistakes and they missed some shots. Credit some of the mistakes to Louisville and Pitino's gameplan, pressure, nerves, etc. The missed shots...misfortune in that everyone had an off night shooting.

However, I am absolutely disgusted with many of the things that supposed "fans" are posting right now. Have some class, please. Now is not the time to pour it on, beat a dead horse, single out our players for "playing poorly", or jump on Bruce for the gameplan.

If I were CBP or any of our underclassmen on the basketball team, and I read some of the posts from the last 30 minutes, I would pack my stuff and get out of Knoxville and away from UT, asap. These kids, along with CBP, have given their all for UT. They do not owe you guys anything more than that.

Hard earned money that has been spent to see the team is rewarded with freedom of speech and voicing your opinion. Even if it's out of line and stupid sometimes.

Packing up and leaving Tennessee means they need to pack up and leave sports all together because it's part of it. Take the good with the bad.

Alrighty then, everybody should be proud of the effort and Coach should expect a hefty raise. Does that sound good?

Unfortunately, you are correct. Baseless blame, faulty analysis and illogical thought follow a loss on a message board as sure as day follows night.

CBP made horrible decision of experimenting in the tourney.
if it works he is genious.
if it doesnt well..
there you go....HE WOULD SAY SAME THING.

We were outplayed and outcoached, nothing more needs to be said about tonight.


Thanks for the season guys, it was a great run. It's a shame one bad night ends it.

I am proud of the way we battled tonight, but really disappointed with our execution. I am going to have nightmares tonight of Ramar dribbling wildly down the court and either throwing up an out of control shot or a horrible pass.

The fans have a right to be upset at the way the team played the past few weaks. Afterall, we blew it when it was do or die for the third year in a row. However, for every incident of dissapointment tonight and against Arkansas, there were ten moments of sheer joy over the course over the season. I hate the way fell apart again. However, this has been a great year. Go Vols.

I'm really tempted to create a new poll as to which thread is the most over the top on VN right now. It's a real toss up. Think I would have to vote for the not renewing a scholly though.

They have that right. However, I feel there are ways to express that with a certain amount of tact. Most of those who are so eager to assign blame right now, are definitely lacking any sense of tact.

I agree with you trUT. We should have played better, but that doesn't mean we need to trash the team to the extent that some are. I loved watching this team play this year. I will remember this season for a lot of years ... it was a heck of a ride, and I loved it. I'm most disappointed that we won't get to see another game .... second to that comes the extent to which we lost ....

Get used to it people, losing the last game that is. We have a real basketball program now. Yippppeeee!!!! What comes with that is that we will almost always end the season with a loss.
