Am I justified ?.

I hate the idea that another team can score 51 points on us.

That is a basketball score.

What say you?.

Our D let up big plays, and yes there is room for disappointment, but there is also the fact that they were still out there playing hard until the clock hit 00:00

Disappointed no. Out of my mind disgusted, yes. Broke my coffee table in half. Anyone else break furniture?

It is disappointing, but we put up 44 on them, and they are the 5th ranked team in the nation. I sure hate to analyze what went wrong and what we could do to fix it, because those guys in Knoxville Dooley, Chaney, Etc... know a heck of a lot more about football than we do, but it's pretty obvious that we cant stop the run with our 3-4 defense. Something has to change, we played tough the whole game there, once we get this run D working, I do believe we will start winning some football games.

Disappointment is part of real life.

Deal with it.

CDD and staff are rebuilding our program the right ways and we are getting better.

We just don't have the SEC type player roster and 2 deep rotation to compete and Win consistently against top SEC teams and their stacked rosters...YET!

I hate losing and having to be patient but it's going to take us another year or 2 to be able to compete against anyone in the tough SEC.

That's disappointing but it's just where our program is at for now.

VFL...GBO!!!

Why is it that it took 3 years and all those millions of dollars to field a team that would play for 4 qtrs? Some can celebrate that if they want, I will not. It's fans & coaches who celebrate a team not quitting(after 3 years) who have put UT where it is today.

That is exactliy right, defensive more than offense. Florida game was a great example of this, FL defensive line was rotating in and out about every 2-3 plays, and they could hold their own. When we try that 70 yard runs happen, when we dont try it, our guys are gassed so 70 yard runs happen. Catch 22...

Are we forgetting Georgia's awesome defense gave up 44 points to an unranked team. Buncha whiney biotchs up in here! Y'all are the types that wouldn't even be satisfied if we won a NC!

Hate losing with the best of them. But we played a legit team in their house and had a chance to win late. When is the last time that happened? If this defense comes together soon we could have a solid season, but will it matter at that point is my question. We have major flaws in this 3-4 against the run. I was proud of the way we ran the ball.... IMO the reason why we were still in the game late. We are starting to figure out who we are ... But when its all said and done, we lost... again to a ranked team. Arguments for both sides for Dooley. But I thought he coached a good game... Bray looked great, then looked like a bum. His accuracy costs us today in my opinion, along with CP's drop down the sideline. Much to improve on and plenty enough games to do it. Go Vols...!!

So we lose by 8 to a #5 georgia team after a huge comeback... we couldve lost this game by way, way way more. We fought hard, made mistakes and paid for it. Thats football.

You broke your coffee table over probably the best game weve played in years.... thats just dumb.

We do not have a secondary or speed on defense to compete or beat top tier SEC teams. That was obvious watching Florida's fullback outrun our secondary two weeks ago. I do think our defense is struggling with the transition to the 3-4 defense. May take another year or two plus need to add some speed

Some claim we do not have the speed or talent to comepete. They have been saying this for 5 years now. The same people claim we need to keep Dooley because he is a heck of a recruiter. Hmm, something does not add up here. I know alot of teams who would love to have the 6-8 4 star DB's we have signed in the last 3 years with 4.3-4.5 speed. Strange how kids slow down and forget how to play ball when they get to Tennessee. :good!:

Kinda like how the kickers forget how to kick, kids forget how to tackle, RB's forget how to run hard, and OL guys forget how to run block. I am sure they just never had talent. Every other coach who was recruiting them was wrong as well.

I never blamed the fans for the team losing. My comment was to the fans who want to celebrate a team not quitting. Those who are ok with losing as long as the team did not quit(for the 1st time in 3 years) have helped contribute to UT being where it is today. When your ok with a losing coach, expect to lose. It's not hard to understand.

Please tell me one 4 star ,much less 6-8,DB that we have signed that is not a true freshman?

(IMO) The issue with the defense is we are still learning, and getting caught out of position alot, and we are not filling our gaps...thats how we are getting gashed with the big runs. Unfortunately that is something that we just have to keep working on. Wont be fixed in a matter of a few games. There actually was improvement today, but we were going against a very experienced QB, two very fast and talented RBs and a stout O line.
