I am an anarchist - ask me anything.

Hypothetically, the anarchist population. If it comes to that. Of course, I don't expect this to happen in my lifetime. My best shot of furthering the cause is to educate others and to contribute to the communities I am a part of.

I'm all for anarchy, but my version is the "pop a cap in your ass if you trespass" kind. You better have a lot of friends because my kind of anarchy will be way more popular than yours.

Also, how do you plan on solving the Muslim issue? There are several billion people that no amount of education is going to change to accept homosexuality as a norm.

No matter how much there world changes....there is no way in h&ll every one will think alike which is what u would need to make that system work.
There is no reason that everyone would have to think exactly alike. There is room for debate in anarchism. Everyone has a voice. Things are managed at a community level democratically. If you are opposed to something, you are free to leave the community and go at it on your own or join another community that develops somewhat different rules.

That is not anarchism. Further, anarchists reject the entire notion that private property is somehow a thing. This differs from personal possession, though. For example, your car, the tools you need for your job, your home, etc. Those are personal possessions. Also, anarchists are generally opposed to organized religion. I personally think this problem will solve itself, as religiosity will continue to decline over time.

I'm with you until you speak of using force to take from people. As an An/Cap, I'm not with that at all.

Only if it is necessary, and only from those responsible for the exploitation of millions of people around the world (aka the state and capitalist class).

So people that work hard for their money is exploiting people....how exactly?

The people who work hard are the people working in the factories, offices, etc. They work much harder than those at the top, who profit from their labor.

So u don't think the people worked hard to build their companies?

No, they continually exploited others for their labor. It may have been difficult to build up that business, but ultimately, the vast majority of the labor was done by those at the bottom.

How are you exploited when no one forces you to go do that job?

Because in a capitalist society, you are forced to work for a boss who profits from your labor. The alternative is, essentially, death.

Where does voluntary association come into this?
When there is no capitalist hierarchy. It is not voluntary until that is dealt with. Because you own yourself, you own your labor, and thus also own the product of your labor. When that is taken from you and exploited by the capitalist class, there is nothing voluntary about it.

I think you need to read some Adam Smith.

I'd rather not be fisted by the invisible hand.

Well it hardly seems to have fisted you. You're getting a college education in quite a valuable subject area and live in a country where the skills acquired through your education will likely earn you a good living and a comfortable life.

Wow!

So people are forced to work somewhere? I agree that people own themselves, as well as their labor. Thing is, they value the money received through their labor more than their time. That's why we show up to work everyday. It's a completely voluntary relationship.

My life is not only about me. I have a responsibility to the others around me, especially those worse off than myself. I am in a very privileged position.

How are you a product of your on labor if u don't have as much as someone then it is just taken and evened out amongst everyone?

You are completely and totally full of crap. I hope you are lucky enough that life doesn't reach up and knock the shiite out of you. Also, your thread title is crap because you haven't answered any but the yes or no questions. The ones posed to you that would directly expose the fallacies in your belief system, you ignore. Change your thread title to "Another Liberal Dialogue on Income Redistribution".

This is admittedly a complex issue. I think this link does a better job explaining my position than I could. It's a good read regardless of whether you agree with it, so I'd definitely recommend it.

Please show me what questions I've supposedly ignored. I've answered all that I've seen, and if I've skipped any it was a mistake.

Your first statement is ridiculous. Go start your own business.
