OK - so we don't have a quarterback and are limited to the running game. It's going to be a LONG fuggin' season.

I have seen people say he should have been an abortion. Surely we have more class than that! He has played awful but at least he loved the VOLS enough to come here with plenty of other offers, even with a couple of promising freshmen by the names of Ainge and Scaeffer

We all love the Vols, it's just that we can't all play for the Vols. That includes Crompton, who plays his heart out for the other team every week. And to think, I was actually optimistic that he had changed. No one can take a big diarrhea dump all over optimism like our boy Jonny C.

I'm not saying he wouldn't have done terrible anyways and its hard to do worse, but there isn't a qb on our roster (if you want to include coleman go ahead) that would have done great with men in his face the entire game and an inept rushing game. Period. That said, he did atrocious, but people need to worry about the oline a little more than they are.

Exactly, JC may have looked awful, but to say that he was the only problem today is wrong. I can't say for sure what NS or any other QB may have done out there, but we have got to shore up our O-line woes. Getting Bray to come here, or any other QB recruit, won't matter until the big uglies start to protect them.

When your passing game proves to be no threat then the other team can just assume run and never get hurt. UCLA did and Crompton could never hurt them. The offensive line looked bad, but it isn't like UCLA ever needed extra help in pass defense. There were many problems, but from being at the game, I firmly believe that with all of the flaws other than Crompton, we would have won if he didn't make so many mistakes leading to UCLA points..

i know the O-Line wasn't great today, the were def outplayed at times. BUT, i've got to say i think JC lost that game for us. Hands down.

Crompton does not have the best supporting cast either. Not sure why CLK played the same weak receivers that played last year. Also, not having McNeil in there really hurt the offense. I can see why Sullin was/is a walk-on. I have the upmost respect gor G. Jones, but if he was not 100%, he should have stayed on the bench. JC has to understand that he cannot force passes. If the receiver is not open, tuck and run.

i tell ya, if i was an elite qb prospect from out of the state i wouldnt come play for TN fans the way they support their team, players, and coaches

Don't kid yourself. They don't play for the fans. They play for the guys with NFL jackets and binoculars in their hands.

I do not see how Stephens could play worse. Crompton just isnt what this program needs right now. How many chances do you give this kid, when does this end? It seems as if every time crompdaddy makes a step forward he takes 15 steps backwards. I hate to see it for him, hell i wanna see him play competitively but he just does not give us a chance to win when he plays like he does. I know it was better competition than last week, but UCLA's freshman was better prepared to play than crompton!

the o line got touched today, not if's and's or but's about it...crompton did not have a lot of time to throw most of the game, and the run blocking was hit or miss most of the game...that's probably our biggest worry now, with crompton being a close second of course

the receivers did not help either, there were a few plays where crompton simply just didn't have anywhere to throw because they were all covered. also, i think they dropped a pass or two they could've easily caught, however it's hard to catch the ball when crompton over throws you every time you're wide open(gerald jones)

the only thing on offense that i'm relatively content with is the running backs...

He shouldn't be a qb at all in any division, if anyone doesn't know to throw a ball up for grabs on your last chance to win the game you don't deserve to play the game

I have to admit that our o-line is absolutely dreadful to watch at times. However, there have been a lot of quarterbacks that have won in the clutch with poor o-line play. It’s called being a playmaker and unfortunately for us Vol fans we don’t have one at quarterback.

I wish Crompton the best but I would like to see a new quarterback for the Florida game.

He's F ing terrible and no amount of feel good man crush for him and his 23 year old tender psyche is gonna soothe me..He needs to be benched permanently and see relief action which gives him time to watch coverages the worst scenario...throwing no game changing stupid picks at the best..

Crompton sux! Plain and simple! He obviously doesn't have the mental tools to get it done. We need to move on...IT'S TIME!

Yes, he is an awful Qb, but anybody wishing death or harm on the guy is crossing the line. Period! I do feel bad for him. I live and breath my Tenn football, but some forget that it's still a game.
