I’ve used this play in so many examples of our creative play calling in 2021-2022

What was creative about that play? The only thing i can see is that it was likely set up by an earlier play that had the shallower route getting the pass, thus causing the safety to bite on that route.

As a stand alone play this just looks like very poor defense.

Our offense was so vanilla and boring last year, that I thought Pruitt was back in charge. I wonder if there was a particular player that kept holding that up?

If you go back and watch the games from 21 and 22 it is stark. I’m not sure if it’s defenses adjusting, golesh leaving, mediocre qb play, or a combination. But we were so much fun to watch on offense those 2 seasons

Golesh leaving. No question. Dude had zero fear of failure. Of course, he also didn’t have a defense to lean on either.

Hooker ran off to the right and the O-line pulled with him, this was clearly disguised as a designed QB run, which made the secondary hesitate.

As soon as they did, the play turned into a drop back pass, as it was designed to be all along.

I mean that’s pretty dang creative. Have you seen anything like that since Golesh left?

I haven't seen anyone in the QB room like Hooker, since Golesh left.

Really hope JH spent some serious time in offseason spicing up the play book. Part of issue last year besides vanilla qb play was predicability of offense, and DC’s have managed to scout us up pretty good
