got screwed over by a Bammer. We all know how much they hate us, that will never change. I’m not much into conspiracy theories, but it’s all starting to make sense. Make it look like things are looking up, get an extension and a big buyout, and then everything comes crashing down to the lowest level we’ve ever seen right after. Nobody can possibly be that dumb when it comes to, especially, the qb situation for starters. Maybe I’m thinking way too much into it.

You don't seem to realize we care WAY more about Alabama than they do about us. We're a gnat to them now.

I am pretty sure Pruitt loves his career more than he loves BAMA. He would rather be the greatest head coach of all time at Knoxville than just the coordinator at his alma mater. No matter the results, he will have done his best.

This premise is incredibly flawed thinking.

Or maybe he just hired a guy who isn’t head coaching material?

I don’t think he will be too upset if his HC career fails. 12m reasons not to. Plus he knows he can always work in coaching. There is no incentive for him to take UT up to respectability. He is in a win/win situation.

The notion that coaches will ruin their own careers to get back at a school they consider a rival is completely absurd.

I live down here in Bama. Even now, the hate is still real. Especially for Fulmer.

They still choose to believe Fulmer was the sole reason they got out on probation and no one else was involved and they were set up. It’s the craziest case of dissonance I’ve ever seen....and it’s all because they just don’t like the fact he was their daddy for so long.

Stupid post. He wants to be a coach and the better he does, the more money he makes.

He’s ruining his career? He can be the DC at Bama tomorrow if he wants....and he can do it $12M richer.

I think he genuinely wants or wanted to do well here. I also believe he is at the point now where the buyout is just as fine.

Yes, you are embarrassing yourself. Sorry, but it’s true.

I’m not embarrassed about anything. I don’t give a sh*t what you think, I had a theory and posted it. Like it or don’t, doesn’t matter to me.

BJ runs the program into the ground, then leaves, gets hired by Bama for a fabricated position paying essentially nothing. Yet, he smokes fat cigars when they destroy us on the field and laughs in our faces because we're stupid enough to pay him millions to do it. All with zero remorse or self pride that he had created the disaster that we had become. Then we decide to hire their NC decorated DC, full well knowing he was born and bred in bama and played at bama. They never really expected us to be that stupid but, you don't punch a gift horse in the mouth. Meanwhile, he does just barely enough to make us think he's going turn us around and we give him another 7 million in a lock tight contract and they he can start to milk us dry. Now they know we're on the hook and he can all but, erase Tennessee football from the map (we're hoping to beat a winless, coach less Vanderbilt team).
It is yet to be scene but, I wouldn't be surprised if we fire him and he gets rehired at Bama as their DC. Probably for $35,000/ year. Then Bama can use the extra money to hire top notch assistant coaches in the country at every position.
Saban will retire in a few years and Pruitt will take over.
Just sayin'

Or Fulmer's track record of hiring coaches is piss poor at best.

He is a lock to continue coaching but not as HC. Get this: He will get 12m if he fails and then make solid income the rest of his coaching career. He is set for life, his children and future grandchildren’s life are financially secure. As I stated it’s win/win regardless if he wants to put in the effort for his HC career or not. Not simple to understand that at all. If you don’t understand this I would have to question your intelligence..
