just another example of the fans we have...they (not just YV) actually come on here and eat their crow and then YV puts his money where his mouth is...we truly have the best fan base in college football...ever...he also does a great job in supporting this site with his excellent game threads....much, much, respect and GOD bless you YV...and, as always and forever more....

That’s awesome, nice work Darrell. St. Jude is great and they do a ton for kids all over the world.

If anyone is looking for another charity to help kids in Memphis specifically, my wife works for an organization that focuses on education for inner city kids. The Emmanuel Center. They provide after-school tutoring and academic support mainly in reading, math, and computer skills. They really help kids who need it if anyone is interested:

St. Jude's has been my monthly go-to charity to donate to for a few years now. Can't go wrong giving to help the least among us, and they have a great reputation for financial integrity.

But I can't stress enough that your main intent should be to give. Ever since I started donating or volunteering, more opportunities began to develop in my life.

I understand getting a deduction, but how do you get "100 percent return on my taxes". I don't think that's legal. The most the charitable deduction can save you is whatever % tax bracket that you're in. So if you're in the 22% bracket, that is the return on your charitable contribution.

Great cause, regardless how you got there! Been doing the monthly donation for years. If you ever have the opportunity to visit the kids in person, DO NOT pass it up. LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCE. Congrats man.

VN is great at supporting good causes. I would like to challenge VN to also consider an additional great cause which is in the same vein as supporting childhood cancer.

There is a little known organization called Camp Horizon (link below) that has a yearly camp for children affected by cancer. They are right in the backyard of VN. Every year they have a camp outside of Nashville in Kingston Springs for those kids. Everything about the camp is supported by donations. The counselors, doctors, nurses, etc. are all volunteers.

The whole idea is to give these kids a chance to have some time to live like a kid should live without the over bearing burden that they shoulder day to day. Trust me when I say that it is an experience that they and their families will appreciate for the rest of their lives, which unfortunately for some of them is not very long. My son (one of the counselors), is going to the funeral tonight of one of his 9 year old campers from this past summer.

Explore the website and you will get the idea. They can always use donations and for those can swing it, corporate sponsorship's as well. They also have an annual corn hole tournament in Nashville for fundraising.
