I feel like the entire Vol/Lady Vol Nation needs/deserves an extended timeout.

The past decade has dealt the Tennessee fanship one painful blow after another, and right now it feels fair to say that we're damaged, if not all-out broken.

Football has been a shambles after one after another horrible hire made by inept administrations. The entire athletic department has been embroiled in one controversy after another. Gender bias issues. Logo controversy. Bruce Pearl lies to the NCAA. The great Pat Summitt gets gravely lll, then dies, and the once perennially successful women's basketball program loses its edge. Baseball? No longer a contender. Volleyball is weak. Track is wildly inconsistent.

Ugh.
