"Rock Of Ages" always brings me to another state of mind when i hear it. Does anyone have one that does the same?

The Battle Hymn of the Republic.... when properly done......

Our choir does the Battle Hymn every 4th of July Sunday. The arrangement calls for two pianists and is very inspiring with time and key changes throughout. I do a solo of the third verse - "I have seen him in the watchfires......." It is supposed to recreate the Civil War soldiers sitting around their campfires taking turns singing hymns the night before a battle. I wish you could hear us, I think we do it properly.

Hymns that I find especially inspirational:

How Great Thou Art
All Hail the Power...
Amazing Grace
It is Well With my Soul
Blessed Assurance
Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee (Ode to Joy)
Were You There
Going Home
Closer Walk With Thee
Holy,Holy,Holy
Beneath the Cross of Jesus
Come Thou Fount....
He Touched Me
Be Thou my Vision
I'd Rather Have Jesus

There are others, these come to mind immediately.

OMG, I swear I just now realized how that sounds.

I swear I didn't mean it like that. I was just using the "when it's done right" line from OE. Didn't mean it like that. Geez, I'm dumb. :banghead2:

It wasn't supposed to be a joke. I didn't even know what vader was talking about until about the 10th time I read my post. Honestly didn't mean to make a joke.

We know, no biggee, some of the funnier things are the accidental ones.

My favorite church song has always been Everybody Will Be Happy Over There. I used to belt that out at the top of my lungs and embarrass my mom. :)
