Hyams just said he expects CBJ to be gone after the next loss. Also said he was surprised by Antone Davis not waiting out the situation because he didn't think CBJ would "survive" this.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is a much different tune than he has been singing lately.
That would mean Jones slip would be true
There is no point to wait but if that's their motive then it is what it is
I think Jimmy was referring to something Fulmer had said about firing a coach mid-season. Last time it happened, players started skipping classes, and meetings. With no boss at the helm, the team went into disarray, thus leading to possible infractions.
Listening to Jason Swain this morning along with Fred White. They shared some of the background story leading up to Davis resigning as VFL Coordinator. If White and Swain's account is accurate and I have no reason to doubt them, what happened at Atlanta following the Georgia Tech game was pretty low class on the part of football leadership to Davis. Fred added that UT's VFL coordinator pioneered this type of position and other SEC programs like Georgia have picked it up. He added that the player coordinator for the Dawgs makes $200K per year. Swain said that's over 3 times what Antone Davis was making. At the end of the discussion, Swain said Davis' decision to leave was monetarily driven in order to support his family. I do wonder if post Jones, they could lure Davis back with a hefty pay increase.
Again, confirmed. Not rumors. If you can't come up with any specifics, you're just bitter.
Bitter or what? I want Jones gone as much as the next guy but in reality there's not a thing I can do about it. That said I'm fully prepared to accept one of the two options:
1) Keeping Jones because it's Curries guy
2) hiring Miles, Bobo, or fill in the blank cause it's cheap and easy
It's no secret Jones tried to cover some things up whether or not you want to believe it is up to you
