100% agree......a Gruden hire will be a train wreck. marrying a Tennessee Cheerleader is a fine thing I'm sure but he doesn't have the qualifications to be a college head coach.

Yes he sure did. Just a couple of days ago when a story came out about Gruden talking to TN. Everytime something good about Gruden comes out he puts something negative out. So we really dont know whats going on...do we??.

If all we got to go on is Jimmy then I dont think this is newsworthy...however...I still dont think Jon is coming...just cant trust Jimmy for that bit of info....

Rumored to be asking for too much. Rumored. We all have no clue if he is or isn't. I can't believe he would ask for some of the ridiculous stuff like control over compliance. That's crazy. It's all speculation and at this point I'm hoping it's like urban and saban and just a screen to announce at the right time. I say this because Jimbo, Al, and Charlie all suck.

If the reports coming out are true.. (and who knows what is true at this point.) the you are exactly right. Reports of him wanting easy outs and other things... If all this is true then its time to move on.

I've been a naysayer on Gruden for weeks but this news gives you that slight tingle that there may actually be a chance. Jimmy is the Mark Reynolds of radio.

Not sure you have followed it closely then. He's been a huge player and Dave Hart is killing this. Pretty much expected from a bammer. Why in the hell did UT hire a Ala grad?

I don't claim to know anything about what is going on. But, one thing I do know is that Hyams has REPEATEDLY claimed that Gruden and Hart couldn't agree and that Hart moved on to other candidates. But, after each one of Hyams claims that it was over, we learned that new negotiations were occurring. Are we suddenly to believe him after knowing he has been wrong over and over again on Gruden?

We are simply going to have to wait for the press conference.

Hart didn't want Gruden. The boosters do. So the booster leaked the info about the money for assistance to pressure Hart. Hart had the opportunity to hire Gruden and purposely missed. He should be fired immediately

Hyams is reckless and somehow gets away with being wrong over and over.

Ignoring him would be the best thing anyone could do for all involved.

FYI we suck now. We went 5-7! 2 of the coaches mentioned have an opportunity to go to BCS bowls. I would take either one in a heartbeat because they both are 10x better than what we had the past 3-4 years! People on this board constantly criticize good coaches. It's amazing to me!
