Hyams/Irwin Sunday Show

The fact that Hamilton didn't walk Fulmer out the door the day he announced he was being replaced is backfiring on him. He set himself up for weeks of abuse as long as he left Fulmer in place. I would have made Clawson the interim coach (due to no emotional ties to Fulmer or the University) for the rest of the year. That would have nipped all this at the bud (assuming Clawson would have taken the 3 game gig).

This doesn't deserve a comment Irwin needs to look at where this program has fallen to and if he can't see it stop being a Vol Fan and use his head not his heart to evaluate the program. This isn't easy for anyone but since 2001 this program is been going down the tube and if he can see it have his seeing eye dog tell him. Jimmy Hyams always swings the easy way out he is a wannabe sports person

He's a pushover...

Saturdays game confirmed in my mind why it is time for Fulmer to leave. We are up 17 to 0 late in the second...it's fourth and 10 on Vandys 35. Why not take a chance with a pass for a first down? . I am so tired of this conservative brand of football.......it doesn't work anymore people! OPEN YOUR EYES! GEESH!

He still has to interview. Fine. He doesn't have to keep banging the "we can turn this thing around drum". Remember WYOMING!
the things you are saying are so true, i just wished like you said, empty out your office change locks and wish Phill a happy farewell during the Kentucky game while another coach like Chavis or Clawson coached these last 3 weeks. This seeing Phill and Chavis crying after everygame is driving me nuts just go out like men and stop with all this denial bullshyt yall are done, thanks for what yall have done for the university and Help with the new transition for the new coach, my god Fulmer your getting 6 million dollars. Sorry for the little rant.

I'm not sure I can criticize that move...

Are you serious? .....Ask yourself this question..What would Urban Meyer, Steve Spurrier, or Pete Carrol have done? I'l tell you...they wouldn't have hesitated..they would have had the balls to go for it..instead of playing Fulmer's Chickensheet Football!

I would have no problem with them talking to the media if I thought I had done right by the man (I think the actions would speak for themselves -as they do for MH). As to the rest of your post, I guess I'm not as much of an insider as you, for I haven't seen Fulmer throwing chairs, etc. There's much on the anti-Fulmer side that is posted in this thread that I do agree with... tho' none of it is posted by you.

I can see by your post that you don't know much about what is being discussed here.

This offense can't leave points on the field. Going for it on 4th and 10 is suicide. We can barely pick up 10 yards in 3 plays, what are the chances they pick up 10 in one play?

How do you propose we get this mysterious 1st down? Fake field goal maybe? Maybe our holder can pass the ball, because no one else we've got can.....

Hmmm.. I doubt that, but if that's your comeback, so be it. Just because I disagree with you doesn't mean I don't understand the subject matter.
