Huskers' QB Armstrong 75-80 Percent

You do understand that if they win that you'll here 8 months of butch talking about how they dominated a 'good' big 10 opponent and the future is extremely bright. A win in this consolation prize of a game allows Butch to hide behind an absolute blunder of a season.

And a loss...who cares. 2016 was a failure after the vandy game. Losing to Nebraska in some lame December bowl won't make it any worse.

Maybe it will wake the rest of you up...maybe.

Twist it any way you want, but in the end you are either with us or against us. Your choice. GO BIG ORANGE!

Hyperbole much? With the absolute certainty of the 1st bolded sentence, how is the 2nd bolded sentence possible?

No hyperbole. The first sentence happened in the Missouri and Kentucky games but since the 2nd sentence happened as well the Vols won. The issue is how often can you give up 600-700 yards of total O and win? What do you see that has changed to prevent Nebraska from rolling up those totals? I'm going to put words in your mouth and say "Nothing". Then it becomes incumbent on Dobbs to score 5 TD's like he did in the Kentucky and Missouri wins or the defense to create multiple TO's or get lots of red zone stops like they did at Missouri and Kentucky respectively. The more likely scenario is a repeat of the Vandy game thus my 49-38 prediction. No hyperbole needed just the facts.

Nope, we deserve better. Tennessee football is better than 8-4 and your support at this point says that you're fine with Tennessee being mediocre.

Anybody else think this guy plays?

Tommy Armstrong sez he's probably about 75-80%. Taking it day-by-day to see if maybe can be 'an emergency guy' on Friday

Today they said he was out for the game.

New studies show that it IS possible to both support/be positive for a team and still not be okay with a down/bad year. I know, it's strange - if your team doesn't live up to expectations, traditional thought has been to bash players and coaches, stop rooting for wins, and claim that anyone that is still positive is actually a Bama plant. Further review of available evidence, however, has shown that certain test subjects managed to continue to hope for a turnaround of fortunes without spontaneously erupting in flame or a splash of crimson and white. It's a whole new world out there.

Need him to be healthy enough to play badly, but not banged up enough to cause them to put in the backup who will torch us.

I understand that YOU don't care. Gets confusing why you shared. :boredom:

Big Steve is the type of guy that just sees black and white. Small minds don't see any gray area, they just can't compute.

I'm not a fan of the coaching staff, but I love watching these guys play and will root for them regardless of opponent/bowl.

Lol no, most of you are the type that order a cheeseburger but get a burger and don't ask for it to be fixed.

You were all sold the same promise for 2016. It was failed to be delivered. And most of you seem totally fine with it.

For the record, but for the grace of God against UGA, this is a 7-5 team with 10-2 talent. Coaching doomed this team and it won't get better. But if you're fine with being sold false hype for 9 months out of the year only to be let down every September then Butch is definitely your guy. Enjoy.

This crap drives me crazy. "But for the grace of God"....do you say the same thing when it goes the other way? "We almost won"...I'm assuming you don'the get on the moral victory boat so you can't have it both ways.

Who cares what the score was as long as your team has more points. With some of our fans they can never enjoy anything and everything has to be negative. It's not good enough to just win anymore. It's how much you win by apparently.

I'm calling it now...Backup QB throws for a new MCB record today. I'm not sure which one but something is going down.

I want to be optimistic but watching NC State just throttle Vandy's offense after they looked like a Spurrier Coached Gator team against us makes be more nega. Nebraska will put up 600-700 yards of total O on this Vols defense and there is nothing anyone can do about it. The Vols can still win if Dobbs goes off as he can and the D forces 4-6 turnovers or somehow comes up with some stops in the Red Zone as they did against Missouri and Kentucky; but realistically the Vols lose this game simply because they not only can't stop anyone they can't even slow them down. Huskers 49 Vols 38.

Hmmm
