It has happened all year long just go back and look. After the 3rd game its like ok that is just how it is.

Every game this happens to Barnett. It's frustrating as hell as a fan, I can't imagine how he feels. It's ridiculous.

Who can hold these refs accountable for allowing them to hold Barnett like this every game?

There needs to be an unsportsmanlike penalty on the refs to somehow get this in check or take it out of their check to help offset the damages suffered by the program as a result of their negligence.

If you need video evidence there's plenty of it on game film!

With nothing to make it painful enough to stop allowing it, it will only continue and that can NOT happen.

He probably has 50 holds on him this year that haven't been called. What's strange is that it's been going on for a long time and nothing changes. Surely the officials review these games and he is getting choked or yanked almost every play. But you rarely if ever see a hold called on whoever is defending him.

But they suddenly turned into hall monitor of the year when he called it to their attention and they penalized him for it with unsportsmanlike. What is he supposed to do when he's getting held like that? If the refs can't be trusted to officiate, who's going to address the problem until it's rectified?

This is important. It's unjustly changing the results of the game. If it was the occasional no call or occasional hold, no one would mind much.

It's rampant and flagrant!

Dont know if he would have gotten to the qb but would have hurried him for sure.
Most obvious missed call ive seen all year.

Holding on the 5 yard completion on first play in red zone that lead to their 2nd TD.

I am so glad DB finally got the record! The refs were overlooking the holding all night. Honestly, most mothers don't hold their babies as much as Gates was holding Barnett tonight.

I don't normally complain, but officiating sucked. There's no way anyone gets held the number of times Barnett did and it not get called. I hereby award Barnett three additional sacks for the game.

Yep, be nice if someone could post pics like that of every game (break it down game by game even) of every hold on him and then add it up for year.

I choose to believe the reason the refs allowed Barnett to be held was purely humanitarian. It's because they knew that Nebraska QB would get killed otherwise.
