I'm going to Charleston at the end of the month so Florence, if you are listening, head north.

Canceling my travel Thursday through Charlotte to Philly. Most airlines, if not all at this point, have waved the change fees for travel impacted by the hurricane.

[insert Biopsy complaints here]

That place is going to be a mess to evacuate. I think I'd be getting inland in the next 24 hrs or so.
It is a very eerie feeling just before a hurricane.

It is. My wife just said the same thing. I remember coming down here when I was a kid to get ready for Hugo and it was so still and quiet, it was very eerie. This has a similar feel.

We'll be leaving tomorrow sometime. They have turned the highways into one way only so that every thing is west bound.

Our game will be fine, the entire mountain chain is in between us and the brunt of the storm. I don't even think rain is forecast for Knoxville Saturday. Chill out, unless they are going to call our game due to lightning in north Carolina. Now parts of north Carolina and south Carolina universities are going to have to monitor things for sure. The remanants of Forence may bring some rain to extreme east tn. GBO!!!!

Hate to be "that guy"...but from the looks of this thing, whether or not we miss a few sporting events is low on the list of concerns.
Yep. Lots of people will lose their homes, all their belongings, some people will die. Way more important things going on right now than a game of football.

Move the game to the Brown's or colt's stadium. Naw, too much revenue lost. Really, why the whining. Was a time players sloshed through pig sty fields and didn't cry about it. Check youtube for the old Gayle Sayers and Dick Buktus games. Old time Vols players also wallowed in mud and didn't whine about it.

This post might make semi sense if there were players complaining at all.

The track and pattern of Florence seems to have Knoxville in the cone. I wonder if we can get this game in? Looks like Baseball and Saturday’s games, along with the NFL games on Sunday will be affected.

LETS GO BIG 🍊

Talked to a meteorologist friend of mine and there are limited weather worries in Knoxville at this time for Saturday.

There are a lot of people in the Eastern 2/3 of NC and the Southern half of Virginia whose life will be drastically altered over the next 96-120 hours. NC, unlike FL, does not have the infrastructure in place for a Cat 4 Hurricane (There are a lot of trees in NC compared to FL).
