Not really doing much besides heading some food, water, flashlights, generator and extra gas. Just dreading the kids being out of school for the week

I don't know where you are, but I hope you folks don't get the damage that we got from Michael on the Panhandle. My place is less than 10 air miles from Mexico Beach.

I am in Redington Beach and I got some water, bread, batteries, extra dog food, a couple cases of beer, a few bottles of wine, a handle of vodka and decent bottle of scotch that I haven't yet tried.

I find that a solid buzz makes power outages much more bearable. The water I freeze and used to keep my refrigerators and freezers cold during the outage.
Ive seen memes about Floridians Hurricane shopping lists. It's 50% alcohol. ...At least i thought those were jokes until now. ;)

Do you have a good size Yeti cooler or one of the competing brands? I have a Cabelas version and I’m a believer in their claims. Leave beer on ice all weekend and still have minimal ice melting. Amazing coolers.

No, much like the big green egg, it is on my wish list, but I am too cheap to part with that amount of money. However, leaving frozen water bottles a couple rows deep in the back of the refrigerator and freezer kept my food for nearly a week during Irma.

Orcas are better. I think my Yeti is a lemon.

Has the Brown Boxer been bulldozed yet? My fiance and I vacation in Madeira Beach and Bingo night at the Brown Boxer was a tradition.

Nope, but it closed a little while back. I always hated that place. Don't really know why just had all very mediocre experiences. I definitely prefer it to more condos though

I have 2 Yetis. One is a hard plastic one that weighs a million pounds loaded, and keeps ice for days. The other is a soft side zip close that is much lighter, and still keeps ice long enough for most trips. I hardly ever use the heavy one anymore.

Donate to CWV since he's too cheap to buy his own?
