He called out the media in the video, saying they don't report facts. Looks like a message is being sent back that they do. You've got to admit, until this, the local media treated him with kid gloves (evidenced by the fact this wasn't covered at the time it happened).

The mother of former University of Tennessee running back Jalen Hurd was arrested during Tennessee's home football game against Florida on Sept. 24.

Tara Michelle Smotherman, 42, of Goodlettsville, Tenn., is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 28 on charges of physical assault and resisting arrest, according to court records.

Could also make Vol74 his stepdad since he is the same age as the mother. Everything in that video sounds very similar to the rant he put on here the other night.

For everyone mad about the story, I have a solution... don't get arrested.

Why is it that we blame others for a mistake?

Yeah Jalen is a dick and terrible teammate but Butch should have blah blah -- but Jalen chose to be a dick first.

I can't believe KNS would mention Tara's arrest. What a classless thing to do! --but she chose to act a fool and get arrested.

All I can say is I hope Jalen is up on his course work and advancing to a degree. He won't be playing football much either in college or pro.

Probably calling the media out made this happen, but I don't agree with Hyams or Knox News doing this at all. But at the same time, it made me think...74 has been on here over a year bashing the program and Butch, now the thinly veiled threats of "Jalen talking to the right people".

With all this going on from the family, and you know if they're doing this in the public, what the heck are they doing behind the scenes? All this being said, could the university be sending a message to Jalen and the family? Simmer down and go away or things will get ugly quick for you in the public eye. JMO
