This may need to be merged, but Im curious. What happens to his star rating now that he is out for the season?

Could you imagine the amount of hell Volnation would rain down on Rivals if they took away Hurd's 5th star because of an injury?

Who cares? Hurd will be a beast in the Orange and White, no matter how many stars are beside his name.

The '14 class has some major ballers in it, no matter where we finish in the rankings. They are also all really close and look to have one thing on their mind, get UT back to where it belongs. I would rather have the 10th ranked class full of guys that are really close, than the number 1 ranked team that has guys that think the only stats that matter are theirs.

I have been informed that it doesn't matter

/sarcasm

I know, I'm just curious what recruiting services do in this case.

All I care about is him being 100% healthy when he enrolls to Tennessee. I don't give a rats a** about his star rating.

Is there really even a need for post requirement to start a thread when idiots just post incomplete thoughts and troll to get their numbers up?

Says the guy that just started a thread about a 17 year old kid's season ending injury, and worry about his star rating.

No one knows, recruiting ranking sites are like the NCAA. They make up their own rules, answer to no one and are very inconsistent.

I don't see how they could keep him where he is without him playing, but like I said I'm asking just to know how recruiting sites handle this situation.

i dont see how he wouldnt drop. he dropped when they gave him his 5th star. its not so much that they think hes not capable, i think they will just be high on some other players. kids will have fantastic seasons and they wont be able to compare him to those kids

I'd assume that he's going to drop. Not because he's less talented, but there are other very talented players who will be playing their senior season and will have an opportunity to rise in the rankings. Without him playing he can only go down really.
