Did you go to the game? Spend $600 on a trip to see your team play? Badgering the team, really! I'm out at midnight in a city I'm unfamiliar with showing that I care and I'm still behind them.

One thing that players can't get a real grip on I think is just how much love for UT fans have. A lot of fans have been UT fans since before they were born.

Lack of desire and effort makes Hurd a much lower draft pick this spring. Oh well....

He lost me with the intentional head butt on the sidelines earlier this year. We need to just play the Kids behind him and let him sulk on the sideline.

I was telling my sister and her husband that it appears the OL does not block for him (last year or this year), but yet the block better for everyone else. I agree about demeanor and being alone on sideline too, good point.

Midnight after a bad loss and a very late night ahead of them. Give them a break if they don't treat it like fan day.

Come on man. He is a college kid. This O-line is terrible and Jalen Hurd is special once he get past that front line. That is his strength in an open field. I like Jalen and I think he is a talented kid. Butch couldn't coach his way out of a wet paper bag. That is the real issue.

I have loved Tennessee, UT, and the color orange for literary my whole life.
We are a highly passionate fan base!

Last year after the bowling green game me and my husband waiting over an hour to get to meet some of the players and get pictures.. we got some with Maggit, Sutton, and kahiil.. which we're all very nice young men.was going to ask hurd for a quick picture, then I seen a kid ask Hurd for one and he says I don't have time and hurried past all of us which was not many.. he had zero interest in meeting any of the fans..I thought maybe he just wasn't in a good mood.. but i have heard several say he never wants to interact with the fans, but I don't know.. just my experience.. And I totally agree with you about coach G.. we the fans invest a lot of time and money into the program.. maybe it was the loss that had coach g in a bad mood, but still no excuse.. like i said we the fans have a lot invested in this program...

I think it was against Ohio mid game. Play was down near the end zone. Believe he got a 15 yard penalty for unsportsman like contact from it all. Punk play. Doubt he would pull that crap against Bama or Gators or he would get stomped later in the game.

I'm sorry if you don't agree with me, but I felt very disrespected as a fan. I hope his gator loving azz gets canned. He wouldn't be enjoying his nice salary if wasn't for the fans. Just needed to vent a little...

will someone explain to me why a grown man would ever want to get an autograph or a picture with another adult? For what purpose? Guy just involved in a heartbreaking loss..you come up while he is involved in a conversation and bother him like he is your buddy to take a picture with you. I will never understand this rudeness and why people want to see themselves in a picture with someone they don't know. Truly weird imo.

This is college football.
The players don't owe you anything except normal good manners and you got that.

Where you were, when it was, and how much you chose to spend doesn't have any bearing. For all he knew you were a Vol fan living in Columbia just down the street that picked up tickets after kickoff for $10 bucks each.

My guess is someone convinced him in order to play at the next level he's going to need to be a TE or WR. I suppose he gave Coach Jones his plan which didn't fit in with whatever Butch's plan is. Might help explain the M-I-A and the sudden need to transfer and play a new position. Who knows. Whatever is going on is not good.

We still haven't really got the full story on why he didn't travel with the team to A&M. I was told by someone who has a friend that is a walk on with the team and is on the prep squad the Hurd was not hurt that week that he was on a one gam suspension from Butch. Now I don't know if its true but that's just what the guy said he said Hurd and Butch had some strong words for each other after the Ga game and was told he couldn't travel with the team until he gets his attitude in check

Regardless of what is going on I think Hurd's best chance for the NFL is to remain at RB. I think he would be much better in an NFL system. To switch to WR/TE at this point will be tough but I hope he succeeds.

I don't think Butch has betrayed the trust of Hurd. Even as many thought Kamara should get more touches it was Hurd who was featured. He has even been featured catching the ball this year to show he's a complete back. It's possible Butch has refused to change his position and its possible Hurd simply is done being a running back. Either way I fear this is bad for Hurd and UT and I hate to see that for either.
