So I've read here that Hurd
1 Doesn't like the system
2. Is an attitude problem off the field and is causing problems in the locker room.
3. Isn't giving the effort he was.

Can someone translate this as to what is actually going on? I can see a difference in Dobbs and Hurd from last year. Hurd ran like a beast. I haven't seen that consistently this year.

I guess this post is for the poster that's his uncle, or whatever. Vol74?

Don't know about any of these but #2 is believable. After the Appy St I was waiting with other dads as my son (12) were getting autographs from the players as they came out.

I lost track of where my son was but wasn't that concerned. A few minutes later I see him and he said that he and a few other saw Jalen Hurd walking the concourse with a few other players so they didn't have to come out where everyone else was. They went up and asked if he would give them an autograph and these two guys with Hurd, my son said kind of like bodyguard type dudes, started waving people in two and a time to get his autograph. He never said anything, just look annoyed, but my son said it was almost like a rock-star because then it was the bodyguard guys that started and stopped everything, then whisked him off all of the sudden.

I thought Hurd still had some (nagging) inuries. Of course, with little blocking help from the o-line just where is he supposed to go?

Of course we're just reading tea leaves, but I told my husband that I can't help but think someone on this team is part of the problem. I've thought it to be Hurd. His demeanor is completely different. He seems like he has a chip on his shoulders. Noticing not many players speak to him when he's on the sidelines. I'm thinking there is an undercurrent in the locker room of someone talking allot behind everyone's back. Who knows, just found your comment interesting, because I've been feeling the same way.

You also have Sheriron Jones that was the only player to go over and try and light a fire under the teams' butts and that says something about the lack of leadership on the team. There's clearly something wrong with team chemistry right now. This is reminiscent of the team around the loss to Kentucky under Dooley.

If Hurd is injured, Butch is doing him a great disservice letting people speculate what is going on with him

After the game I had a chance to greet the players as they got on the bus, and Hurd denied taking any pictures with anyone when other players were taking them with the fans and talking to them. It was really disappointing to see. I got the impression he is done with this team and season.

On another note, Gillespie really rubbed me the wrong way. When I asked for a picture with Barnet while he was talking to him, he told me no "not right now, we are talking". I understand to a point why he said that to me, but they are about to get on a bus and ride back to Knoxville together for 5 hours. I drove 6 hours and was standing outside the gate for over an hour at 12am to see the team after a horrible performance to show support. I'm sorry if you don't agree with me, but I felt very disrespected as a fan. I hope his gator loving azz gets canned. He wouldn't be enjoying his nice salary if wasn't for the fans. Just needed to vent a little...

I would guess that the fact that most of the team leaders are watching the game each week either in a boot, in slings, in casts, or on crutches can be a real "buzz kill" for team chemistry.

I dont buy it. Real leaders lead wherever they are and no matter the circumstances. I dont think there are any real leaders and that starts with the coach.

Agree with you somewhat, however these players aren't cheerleaders - they are football players. They want to be out there. Lead by example.

Other than that, I don't know what is wrong or how to fix it. Very easy to be an expert when you are a fan.

An example - it's easy to find flaws - I did all night. Wished that Kelly got the ball more.

BUT... We've all said that Evan Berry is explosive and needs offensive touches. Saw that last night. So that is a "wish granted". Was he in there on more than one offensive play? I don't know. If he wasn't, it should have been easy for USCe to know he was getting the ball.

He is living the "frat life," has a terrible attitude, and is not built like a back for our system, or any system for that matter. Jalen Turd. If only AK6 and JK have been 1-2. They get small, low, are fast and shifty. I think CBJ has a love affair with Turd.
