Which would make him eligible at a FBS school next season. Could Vic Wharton be in his ear? :crazy:

He's not transferring, that was fabricated so that it doesn't look like he has been saving himself for the draft all season, which explains his disappearance in several games. He'll announce in January that based on the advice of draft experts (an agent and his dad), that it is in his best interest to enter this year's draft.

Graduate in 2.5 years? Possible for good students. Highly improbable in my opinion for kids on the football team.

Actually, not unheard of. Was he an early enrollee? I think he was. If so, he would have had 3 full years, plus 3 summers. Graduating in 3 years with 3 summers, is not out of the realm of possibility.

Maurice Clarett was built like a prototypical running back and had supremely more talent. He completely wasted his career and talents

Doesn't change the fact he is young and making dumb decisions. I'm sure many of us would change the way we handled things at 20. He possibly just threw away a lot of money.

You are right that he did this to himself. He will have to own it.

I read the graduate transfer rule and didn't see where he would have to graduate by December anyway. The way I read it he could stay at UT for Spring Semester, graduate, and then transfer. I may have missed something but all it refers to is the academic year which would end in spring 17.

This young man obviously doesn't have his head in the right place, that is for sure. He screwed the pooch in multiple ways on this one.

1. He has made it harder to get drafter. Not Marquez North, but similar.

2. Transferring might be a hard road too, given that he only has one year of eligibility.

He can still play at UT next season.

Crazy I know but is there anyway he's really done here at Tennessee.... would Butch take him back? The team, I know this is crazy thinking but his only option is think about this for a few days and beg like hell to come back... best option for Hurd is this.. right his wrongs.. or too far gone, I know the answer.. jus inciting conversation..
