Play clean, win clean. We got this. No need for shortcuts. Clean the dude's clock, of course. But clean.

Hurd at 242 pounds and striker somewhere around 220. I would love to see Hurd knock some sense into him.

Hurd us a huge kid.

Lead with the crown of your helmet and make that dude see Jesus.

You come to challenge us at our house and talk smack and your football career should be in jeopardy.

Sweep the leg Johnny, sweep the leg!!!!!

Not sure what owning up means, but if it means proving ones self on a big stage, I think striker has done that. Really, I don't see anything he said as being that insulting. The message I got was he's tired of the sec love fest and considers Hurd just another opponent who puts his pads on just like everyone else. He's got that mentality that he's not going to shake in his cleats because he's playing UT on the road. Hurd may be the next Eric Dickerson but it's not like striker hasn't seen his fair share of great backs. OU has a 1700 yard back he sees every day in practice. Folks are making way too much of the comments. Bottom line is UT, does indeed, need to get it done on the field. Until they do, it's just recruiting hype and fan enthusiasm.

Well thanks for the lesson. You're so smart. Yea we needed to hear you tell us how the OK players feel, or how great they are.

Re watching the replays from last week and Hurd is running through guys. I would love for him to lower the boom on striker.

Right on JP...always tell my son...don't want to see injuries...but I do want to see the other guys get hit so hard they don't want no more

Here's to hoping Striker plays sluggish, like a wet sponge.

Hope so, but I heard this same type of chatter before the UF game last year. Don't mean to be a rain cloud on a sunny day, but UT has a lot to prove. Until they do it against the big boys, I have a hard time buying it.

You sound like the life of the party:crazy:

That's all anybody is suggesting. Do it clean but do it hard and aggressively enough that it sends a much needed message to him and his teammates.

The Maggitt interview I heard was interesting yesterday. Seems to be a feeling amongst these guys that this is in the bag. There is an underlying cockiness and a sense that they know they are about to whoop their a$$.

Butch Jones has recruited a different caliber of player to Tennessee. Not just guys that are highly touted. But also uber confident. I knew this season would be special when I saw Austin Smith and Quay Picou predict we'd win the national title the next 2 years during NSD.

These kids have set their goals sky high. Now its time to deliver. And I have faith they will.

The big difference in Butch's recruiting is that he has recruited players who have won 1 or more state titles.

Just my opinion, but when you have a player that has acted like he has during interviews, couple that with the brown article...its an obvious sign of an immature football team. Put that team down by two scores, they will fold under adversity. Again, just my opinion.

So you guys are still trying to take Striker's words out of context and turn them into some sort of diss huh? Okay.

Hurd knows as a freshman in his 3rd game he almost put up 100 yards on OU's D. He knows how much he and the team have improved. He knows that UT ended the season strong while OU limped to the end. He knows that this game is two teams passing in the night, one heading up, the other down. He knows that when he puts up 150+ yards tonight that it will be a big part in putting UT, a team he grew up loving, back on the map. This is the moment he's waited his whole life for. And you think some trash talker on the other team is going to take that moment away from him?

1-27 or 27-1 still doesn't mean a thing to anyone but fans and talking heads. Brand new season and different teams. The kids playing this game on both sides think of 2013 as ancient history.

Um... It means a alot. Like 26 games worth. Comments like this make me chuckle. Thats like saying the left side of the bell curve is the same as the right side of the bell curve.
