Not sure if anyone saw the piece on the Vols-Sooners on Gameday, but they had a clip where Jalen said Striker was going to have to "own up." The interviewer asked Jalen if he had anything to say to that and he just replied " No, I'm good." I freaking love it!

Great response. Important game and seems the kids are ready. That being said I hope Hurd does a Rogers-Badger sequel.

Heh, yeah, that was awesome. The determination was rolling off of him. Jalen is more than ready to meet Striker on the field today. Gone be fun.

The Maggitt interview I heard was interesting yesterday. Seems to be a feeling amongst these guys that this is in the bag. There is an underlying cockiness and a sense that they know they are about to whoop their a$$.

Not sure what owning up means, but if it means proving ones self on a big stage, I think striker has done that. Really, I don't see anything he said as being that insulting. The message I got was he's tired of the sec love fest and considers Hurd just another opponent who puts his pads on just like everyone else. He's got that mentality that he's not going to shake in his cleats because he's playing UT on the road. Hurd may be the next Eric Dickerson but it's not like striker hasn't seen his fair share of great backs. OU has a 1700 yard back he sees every day in practice. Folks are making way too much of the comments. Bottom line is UT, does indeed, need to get it done on the field. Until they do, it's just recruiting hype and fan enthusiasm.

I think it means he is going to show he can tackle Hurd today. Hurd might blow Striker up. Get your gif machine ready

We don't talk smack. We will show it on the field. GBO!

Hope so, but I heard this same type of chatter before the UF game last year. Don't mean to be a rain cloud on a sunny day, but UT has a lot to prove. Until they do it against the big boys, I have a hard time buying it.

He is a hell of a player, but I have always found it foolish to try and talk **** pre-game. In game stuff is great, but mouthing off like he has will have Hurd and Kamara all stored up to attack!

GBO!!
