He wouldn't be benched in the middle of a game, he would be suspended indefinitely or inellgible. Hurd suffered a concussion, and is having concussion protocol

After the blindside hit that caused him to fumble when it showed him on the sideline I thought he looked concussed. I don't think he really knew it till after the game then he probably could not remember some stuff. Just my 2 cents but Hurd has always gave his all and if he doesn't play its not cause he doesn't want to.

dang this is confusing. i've re watched the hit in the endzone over and over and right after the hit he gets right up looking for the ball carrier. It was a hard hit to the ribs though.

Ok I'm confused they just said on SEC now that Jalen is questionable so is he or Isn't he?
Whatever the decision is I hope he gets better.

That's not when the injury occurred. Was later when he was tackled on a run around left end. Got up with grass and dirt stuck in his helmet.

Say what you want man but coming to Tennessee was not a favor. I love Hurd but do you think he wouldn't be bruised and battered after games at any other D1 program? Hurd coming to Tennessee was good for Tennessee AND it was good for Hurd. Don't hate on the program that helped him become the great player he is.

Please tell me what being at Tennessee has done for Jalen? I've watched him play ball for many many years before Tennessee was even an option for him. He was already great. He's done WAY more for TN than TN has done for him.

Hate where this has gone...impossible to quantify. We are better for getting Jalen and we can only hope Jalen feels blessed to be a part of this program.

I love watching Jalen Hurd play. He is tough out there - but please stop with the who benefits more stuff. Like all players at Tennessee he gets:

- Free education at a very good university; Add up the dollars and consider that many of the brightest, most intelligent kids in Tennessee have to pay their own way.

- Chance to play on television in front of millions in the toughest conference in college football (i.e. exposure)

I hate it too. Truly I do. But fans can not expect people that love Jalen to sit by and watch him get trashed over 1 play.

Oh, I don't know, given him access to first class coaching and facilities? Playing against the best competition one can play against in college while playing alongside other NFL caliber players? Giving him a chance to play alongside a bunch of guys who respect and appreciate him while he preps to make millions playing on Sundays? Getting a chance to play in front t of 102,000 screaming fans on autumn Saturdays? Getting to be a part of one of the greatest college football programs of all time? Need I go on?

Did you really come out of the woodwork to post some nonsense vitriol about how Jalen was great coming out of high school? High school great doesn't make you NFL great and THAT is why he came to Tennessee. I have a better question for you. Why are you posting on this board if you have such negative feelings towards a program that has been rebuilt to the brink of Greatness by Jones and beaten two of its three biggest rivals already this year? I have no tolerance for posters like you. Mike Tomlin said he would not hesitate to let his son play for Butch Jones. Do you think he made that statement lightly and without forethought? I am so tired of all of this BS negativity floating around. GTFO.
