I am told that Jalen Hurd was not a participant at practice/walkthrough today and is not expected to play this week. Indications are that it is not a lower-extremity injury nor is he being benched or in the doghouse. No one wants to say but it's been indicated by numerous people it's an upper-body injury.
Butch Jones said Monday Hurd was fine and full-go but he has not practiced all week with lingering effects from last Saturday's game at Georgia.

I apologize then. Must be a concussion

I hope he recovers from whatever mysterious injury he has and breaks the rushing record this season. He doesn't fit our scheme as well as other backs but that hasn't stopped him from busting his butt and fighting for every inch. He will be a great NFL back.

I would rather that he be ruled out for the game than the rest of the year. It's not good news but it could be a lot worse.

Butch just said on 104.5 in Nashville that Hurd has practiced this week and is a game time decision.

We are going to miss his blocking as badly as we will miss his running. Personally I love the way he plays the game.

You really can't trust injury reports in college football. There is no telling what the truth is. I wouldn't be surprised if he plays.

Said the same thing about Worley 2 years ago before the Bama game when he everyone covering practice said it was obvious he couldn't lift his arm at all.
