Hurd leading team during Marine workout

Come on fade...hope is really all we have in the off-season.

Hurd does have the tools (size, speed, leadership) to be one of the best. BUT...he's only as good as the OL.

Boca, I think it is obvious the Hurd was much better than the O line last year. If he didn't miss PT with an injury, he would have had 1000 yards on the ground with no problem.

Also, I believe our line will be better this year. How much better is yet to be seen, but with the mobility of Dobbs they should be fine. I just believe Hurd is set to go off on some defenses this year.

With AK in the back field with Hurd it should allow both to keep fresher legs through out the game and that might just allow both to have a big year.

Our O-line play has to be better this year.... right???

If the Oline improves, Hurd may indeed be one of the top if not the top RB's in the SEC.........he's hard to bring down.

Cmon man. Perhaps, but UT has had some freakin stud RB's. Let's wait for him to at least crack 1,000 yds before tossing him in that list.

True, but Stoked said "might" in his comment. I read on this team bonding on 247. The part that stands out to me is Hurd learning leadership and teaching.. also the team learning not to be so critical of other players that make mistakes, rather approach it as one unit, have each others back. Also, they learned that half doing things is not acceptable, you either do it right or not.. Have to like the mentality being taught. Football is a collective unit, cohesion with the offense/defense.. to work as one. A team on the same page, is a dangerous team! So imo, Hurd can be one of the best RB Tennessee has ever had, based off him being a leader, teacher and mentor.. not just based off stats.

Dobbs and Hurd leading the offense and JRM and Randolph leading the defense. Based on who has been the most vocal. Cam and Barnett are also great leaders but these guys, to me, seem to be the most vocal so far.
