I knew he was "in the know" but didn't know his relationship. If that's truly what happened then I stand corrected and made my own judgment on my own ignorance and erroneous reporting.

All in all I hope Hurd recovers from any injury and the mental error and goes beast mode next week.

We're all pulling for the same team! GO VOLS!!!

Why don't you go back and watch the play before Jalen's TD in the "3rd quarter" (you know way after his bonehead move in the 2nd quarter that he got benched for)? Did you see Butch digging grass and dirt out of Jalen's face mask?

Jalen was pulled due to concussion protocol after the TD. Bad headache, dizziness, couldn't see well, etc. I don't care if you believe me or not, but that's what happened. It's a fact - whether it fits what you'd like to be true or not.

Butch would never sit a player for making a mistake. Hell, our whole team would be benched every week then. If he had a problem with Jalen, he would have dealt with it in practice this week.

Is what it is. Jalen will be fine. He will be ready and A&M.

That's great to hear; he took quite a blindsided hit. I thought for a second they would flag UGA for that hit. Those type of hits are dangerous.

OL finally performed well, and Hurd took advantage. Other than the fumble, Hurd played very well

Kid still has my respect. Dumb play, he's young, it is what it is. 99.9% of the time he plays his ass off. He shouldn't have to redeem himself to our fanbase.

I saw a classy young man who didn't pout after being benched. He made a stupid mistake and took the punishment like a man.

He'll be refreshed and ready for A&M.

It is the third play of the second half. A UGA guy grabs Jalen by back of neck, gets his weight on top of him, and rams his head down into the ground.

Yeah, start of the 3rd quarter. They must of pushed his head so far into the grass he took some of the turf with him. Butch met him coming off the field and helped him remove it.

Hurd runs hard every play. He made a mistake. Doesn't mean he should be tossed on the scrap heap. Let's look for him to rebound and be better because of it. I love the kid.

Yes. It's not like he had a Leon Lett moment. TN's season would not be successful without Hurd's contributions.

I beginning to think Hurd had a concussion. He keeps grabbing his head after he takes a big hit and eats a bunch of grass with his face. Even after his touchdown, he looks like he got his bell rung and he was taking a quarter off to see if it passed. Butch said an injury to lower body, to keep Hurd available for next week without the prying eyes of the SEC or NCAA making their own "evaluation". Just my opinion on this, but I'm thinking concussion.

Hurd will be just fine. He will learn from this mistake and be fine. I don't think we was going to show anybody up, I think he got relaxed not thinking anybody was behind or beside him and got lit up. I'm more worried about why BJ cant figure out that Hurd is a power runner and not an east and west runner and those slow developing handoffs don't work.

I don't believe he was benched for the fumble. If he was benched for the fumble then CBJ made a mistake. It was a small mental lapse that won't ever happen again. Just relaxed too early. JH is a great player because he works hard and doesn't make these mental errors.

I believe Herd is a very versitile back and can run effectively in our offense. Evidence is he has a lot of yards. The problem is our Oline has not been great. Kamra is a bit quicker sticking his foot in the ground and turning it up but JH has more strength and push following contact. They are both great in their own way. Watching the replays if the oline gets either of theses backs through the LOS they get 6-10 yards. JH will have a nice pro career, speed, power, exceptional blocking and receiving.

I guess why I questioned the injury in the first place is because he plays on the last kickoff return. Did he pass concussion protocol at the very end of the game? If not, why was he in on that play? Between that and Butch's BS injury report of a "lower extremity" injury is why I questioned it at all.

Regardless... Heal up Hurd for them Aggies! We need you bro! Go Vols!

No, Butch was spittin' fire at him before he got to the bench. As red as I've ever seen that man. And Butch has gotten real red before.

Don't have the answer to that. A bell rung is different than a complete concussion. If you declare concussion there is a week long protocol so maybe because jalen was feeling ok they didn't feel necessary to report concussion.
