Hunter hurt (merged)

if he tore his ACL or MCL he could not walk he will be fine dang! We still have great receivers and he will be coaching them while he is hurt!

that's just not true about the ACL (never had an mcl done so not sure there)

And its been posted 1 million times, but the steady stream of reds keep pointing out that it can't possibly be true bc Jim Bob did not get up when he tore his up and he was the toughest SOB on the farm.

no different than the people saying he should be able to jump right up and jog off the field after tearing it. I said it before, and I know all are different, but I couldn't walk without help for a short time after both mine. I was able to walk around in less than an hour but it was too much pain initially

Yep, everyone perceives pain differently for one. Everyone has a different physiological response afterward as well.

People just think that it is impossible for him to even walk with out a ligament that is for lateral movement. I think it is partially because they have no idea what the ACL is or what it does.

fact is unless you are doing the lachman's or pivot shift on him, you don't know if it is an acl or not. heres hoping it is a simple partial meniscectomy and back for UGA or LSU. grade I MCL is better. (doubting both of those, though)

Im still just laughing at all the dumbasses in this thread claiming "its definitely an ACL tear" when there has been no announcement or anything. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. Bottom line is: you have no idea so shut the hell up.

Never knew there were so many Dr.'s on this message board! Maybe half of these know it alls can go to Knoxville and fix their running game.

It IS a ACL tear... I KNOW bc I saw how his knee shifted in such a way that is IMPOSSIBLE w an intact ACL... did you see him grab it right away after his knee moved into this unnatural position? I will bet you any amount of $ you can come up w 10:1 odds that JH has a torn ACL

Why would people that understand and have a familiar/working knowledge of sports injuries be able to fix the running game?

This x100

I don't care who you are, you could be Dr. Andrews and you simply can't tell by looking at a video.

Walking off the field has nothing to due with whether his ACL is torn or not
That may be true, but how many ACL tears have you seen where the trainers let the guy walk off the field under his own power. I can't remember seeing one.

When I had mine tear, it was very similar to how he tore his, except mine buckled a bit more and was only a partial tear. When I saw the replay I was thinking it was a sprain.

gasman seems to be taking a great deal of satisfaction in predicting the worst case for Hunters injury. It very likely could be an ACL, but to just watch the video and proclaim you "know" what the injury is, is not factual. The trainer and ortho that did the post injury exam likely "knows" alot more than gasman.

A lot. It's fairly common.

Good grief... its a torn ACL GUARANTEED, would you like to bet on this? I , the trainer, the ortho pod and everyone on that team KNOWS its a torn ACL

God simply did not want us to beat UF today and he also wanted us to go thru this adversity b/c how else could you explain a no touch injury in this manner!
