With all due respect, the only place that Hunter is ready for next season if he is "guaranteed gone" is Division II. I love him as a player, but he is not ready for primetime and is a long way from it. He can't catch in traffic, he can't get off a solid jam, he drops too many passes, and he does not look the part of a high round draft pick receiver. If he knows what is good for him, he'll stick around and develop into the player he was becoming before his knee injury.

I honestly believe that the offense and the the receivers have lost faith in Bray and therefore they don't play for him. You can see the frustration released everytime a receiver throws his hands up after being wide open and missed.

Hunter is ready to go to the NFL, but I think he's lost so much faith in Bray that he never expects the ball to be thrown well to his side of the field..therefore everytime he's thrown to he looks surprised or he's not going up for the ball. Still, I think Jistin should be playing harder for his team and to me it seems like he's not fully invested. I was at the game and was honestly surprised how little he tried to get open and challenge DB's.

Now with all that being said, I've been saying that Bray is going to be the death of this team and Dooley. And well, Bray has lost 4 games for us so far this season! Every other player on this team is evaluated based on their performances. If Neal plays bad, then Lane gets a chance. Same goes for Brewer and McNeil...why not hold Bray to that standard? I'm not saying that Woorley will be better but he deserves a chance to show that he can't get any worse and that he can lead a team. Woorley had his redshirt taken from him last year for no reason, this kid deserves a chance to compete for a starting job because Bray is a loser and continues to miss the easy pass trying to make the impossible throw.

I was down in the locker room with a buddy of mine after the game and had the privilege of speaking with Justin and his family tonight as we walked back to where we parked. Some people have pointed it out but Bray and Hunter most definitely have a feud. They argue over drops on Hunters part or bad throws by Bray. My friend made a smart remark on how we just needed to sit Bray and Hunter laughed and said "I feel you." My friend saying that really pissed me off but I'm surprised Hunter didn't stick up for his quarterback like I thought he would.

I think Hunter is still scared he'll get hurt again and that's part of why he's dropping so many passes.

That's also normal for most players after a torn ACL because they'll heal fine physically but mentally it's VERY hard to forget the pain and working so hard to get back on the field and a WR always knows he's going to get hit hard after every catch.

The fear in the back of their mind holds them back and many players never get over it and become really good again.

Bray is still ammature and i'm starting to doubt that he'll ever become a really good SEC QB.

I'd start Worley and let Bray sit the bench and think about his lost opportunities to try and impress NFL scouts.

I'd also have a serious talk to Hunter and try to help him get his head on straight but I'd also start letting other WR's get more playtime to show what they've learned already and get them more real game experience so they'll be better prepared for next season.

VFL...GBO!!!

Not sure what being "ammature" is.

The most popular guy on a losing team is the backup quarterback. If anyone here thinks Justin Effing Worley really gives this team a chance to win more games, you need your brain checked. He looked awful last season, and if the coaches are as crappy as everyone claims, why the hell does anyone think he will have improved?

I believe CJC called a good game.
Bray and Hunter need to step up and make the plays that will change the game.
they are both capable but bail way to soon (whether on the play or having faith in each other).
It may not be a bad thing to sit hunter and bray just to show them that that they aren't above the team or grandfathered into the starting position. They're production against the sec hasn't been great anyway. May wake them both up and realize they need more effort and focus and less bickering.
By the way, I know the backup is always the most popular and I'm not saying he's better but against the sec bray and co aren't getting it done and bad throws and dropped passes isn't the coaches fault. If we convert on a few plays the whole complexion of a few games is totally different and that falls squarely on the players.
Side note:
CP is a stud and the rb's are holding there own and at least producing.

What evidence is there of a feud? By all accounts, Bray tries to get the ball to Hunter even when he's not open and trusts him most. And Hunter's mom has never before said anything like has been alleged. If she's making noise then surely a less anonymous source would have a scoop or at least a report on it.

I think Bray and Hunter were spoiled early on in their careers. The media and coaches keep hyping them up. But now, maybe they were not as good as advertised...
Hunter is probably in denial. I think he is starting to realize that he was never really the "star" player he could be and it's causing him to become a mental case. Blaming Bray that it's a bad throw. Good players make bad QB look good.
The same mindset could go along with Bray. He's learning that he wasn't as good as people think and he tries too hard to prove people wrong without accepting that fact that really has strengths and weaknesses.

Sh wants the answer to the question, "How much of a 'cut' will I get out of the NFL signing bonus and salary?"

Hunter showed last night that he has trouble against physical corners and has problems getting separation. He needs to get a lot stronger. Bray in not a very good leader. He has had to overcome a lack of running game, and poor coaching in his career at UT. This year we are running it better, and he is stinking up the place.

to get open. Great receivers are explosive off the line of scrimmage and run strong routes--good breaks. Not seeing Hunter get open.

One big problem--which Chaney ought to know--is that you have to get the ball to certain WRs EARLY in games and get them involved! A guy doesn't get a ball for a half and he starts to check out! That's Hunter. We improved our running game this year--and then the passing game went in the toilet. We don't have a good short passing game, which you have to have to beat good teams. Another problem is that you can't wait until 3rd down to throw the ball to Hunter--he is double-teamed! See our first trip to the red zone. Dumb.

And what about Patterson? He had 1 catch! I'm not sure how good he is at getting open either. Great with the ball in the open field--but WRs need more than that.
