Hulu?

Anyone have this? So I pay $8 a month and I still have to watch commercials?

I cancelled Hulu because Netflix provides more things I want to watch and without commercials. The movie lineup on Hulu is pretty lame.

I figured most subscribe for the TV shows, but the commercials blow.

That's why I have it. It was a concession to the wife when we cut the cable cord. They have a lot of shows she would have been severed from (gasp!)

I too got rid of cable/satellite TV. The reason being that I only have a few things that I really want to watch: UT and USAFA football/baseball. And the news occasionally, I suppose. Other than that, I don't care about any other shows enough to pay for them.

Me, too. And for the same reasons. I was shocked at the quality of broadcast channels picked up by an HD antennae. Just like my old HD cable.

Hulu is terrible. Yes, you have to watch the same 2 commercials over and over every time you watch a show THAT YOU PAID FOR.

I've found that unless you watch a ton of the shows that are available on Hulu, I make do buying episodes individually on Amazon Prime or Vudu, etc. If you watch just 1 show at a time, that's the cheaper route. Older seasons are mostly on Netflix.

Or, you can get a DVR and just record the network shows. There are DVR's that don't require a monthly fee for programming, but they're expensive on the front-end.

I give Comcast a lot more than $8 a month and I have commercials on most every channel.

I use my friend's account and he uses my Netflix. I hardly ever watch it though, everything id watch on it is on demand anyways.

Its really only useful if you are in to newer t.v. shows that have new episodes every week because the new episodes are available the next day. The commercials are annoying but hey at least you can go take a piss or grab a beer. Personally I pay for netflix and I make my girlfriend pay for hulu.
