I sure hope not...I was at Briarcrest in Memphis while he was there and I was never a fan.

He has been offered a job, but I dont think he is going to take it. I used to play football at lambuth university which is where he is the head coach now and I visited there this past weekend. From what he said in his staff meetings, he doesnt want to take a step back and be a positional coach again. He's a heck of a coach

Becoming a position coach at an SEC school is a huge jump up from being a HC at some NAIA school.

True, I'm just saying what I know. They had a really good year this year, a few more like that and he may be looking at a small D-1 job or 1-aa job. He may end up going if the price is right, I dont know why he would pass it up either, but thats just what he has said up too last week.

He was a position coach at Ole' Miss, IIRC. He was pretty much a package deal with Michael Oher with the Touhey connection.

Yeah, he was.

Is the guy even a good coach? I don't know much about him other than that.

I wouldn't know. I guess after O got fired no one felt strongly enough to offer him a spot on their staff. There might have been more to it than that.

Freeze is an excellent recruiter and was Coach O's recruiting coordinator at Ole Miss from 06-07. He would be a good addition to the staff.

Coach Freeze was going to be offered the job as ole miss' offensive coordinator before coach O left. From what I have heard, and seen he is a really good coach. He put lambuth back in the playoffs for the first time in awhile. He has totally changed the atmosphere about winning at the school. It seems like he can coach, and if you can coach you can coach; doesnt really matter what level your at.

Coach Clawson, how's the job search going?

I, too, am a Briarcrest graduate. During his days as head football coach, I remember more victories by our girl's volleyball and basketball team than the football team.

He could give us that pipeline to Memphis that we have been able to get for a while.

Exactly what I was thinking. Also into the Mississippi area as well. I dont know if he had any influence into Little Rock or not.

He has done that. i have talked with several people that have said he is turning the program around.

As excited as Fulmer was about Oher from reading the book and hearing stories about it, he might have been here if Oher was here. Hugh Freeze, that is, not Fulmer.
