My best friend’s sister’s boyfriend’s brother’s girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who’s going with a girl who saw Hugh Freeze pass her at the Knoxville airport last night. I guess it’s pretty serious.

Have a hard time thinking administrators would get in the middle of an OC hire. Pruitt would jet first chance he got if he wasn’t able to do his job 100%

I don't have a clue what goes in to hiring on this level. It does seem to me, that both Fulmer and Pruitt would want to interview a couple of different people, even if they lean in the direction of one. With that said, Freeze is technically unemployed, so this hire could, may be should have happened quick. The more time that passes, the more I lean in thinking it won't be Freeze, probably someone who is playing in a bowl game. Again, I don't have a clue, just reading tea leaves like everyone else.

Thats fine, but that is only if you believe that Fulmer told Matthews. I’m not saying they don’t have a good relationship but PF keeps things close to the vest. I know someone very close to PF. Travels with him, sits in his box at games. That doesn’t mean they always know “the scoop”.

I drift between hope and despair. This is the most important hire in the last ten years to reset the tone. Enos hardly makes a dent in our problems.

I would say that is correct. Then we will all pretend that was who we wanted the whole time. It’s what we do then Alabama will hire Freeze. It’s what they do. Four years from now we will repeat the process and everyone will get jazzed up about names that were never coming here and we will get another underwhelming hire shoved down our throats.

To suggest that Freeze “was never coming here” just makes you look even more out of touch

Most importantly does Freeze own land near Sevierville that he travels to yearly and plants a tree with his wife?
